Reviews
The Tokyo: Traditional Kintsugi Making Experience was a very enjoyable experience. The workshop was very well set up for a variety of traditional experiences. Leonard, April and the other instructors were very helpful and encouraging. Would suggest not suitable for younger children due to the techniques required. Noting that there is no need to return as indicated in description (completed in original session). Highly recommend this experience.
excellent experience to learn Kintsugi. excellent facilities, with several classes going on simultaneously, but the staff were helpful going around everyone ensuring they were all happy doing the different steps to their chosen project. chopstick making and knife making also offered at the same studio.
Had a great time learning and actually doing kintsugi. Had a session hosted by Nono and she was really helpful kind and patient with our pieces. Comfortable environment with no pressure. Will recommend to friends who will be in Asakusa!
Great way to spend the afternoon! Carla was a lovely instructor, and guided us through the Kintsugi making process. The process itself was rewarding and the result was better than I thought I would do.
Carrie was very attentive and patient the whole session. I've enjoyed my time and the class was wonderful. An eye opening and refreshing experience for anyone thats into the art.
This is a perfect fun family experience and a great souvenir to take home. April and Akey made this experience even better, they were super helpful and informative. We highly recommend it, would come back!
A wonderful experience from start to finish. Sui was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole process feel accessible — even for a complete beginner. The studio was easy to find, well-equipped, and had a really relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. We left not only with a beautiful piece to take home, but genuinely feeling restored. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something creative and a little bit meditative.”
I had a wonderful time at the kintsugi class! Carrie was incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient while guiding us through the process. She explained the history and meaning behind kintsugi in a really engaging way, which made the experience even more special. The class itself was very cool. It was amazing to learn the technique of repairing pottery and turning something broken into something beautiful. Carrie made everyone feel comfortable and encouraged creativity throughout the class. Overall, it was such a unique and meaningful experience, and I would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in art, craftsmanship, or trying something new.
