Reykjavik

The entire experience with pickup is about half a day, you only spend less than an hour in the water. The drive from Reykjavik is about 45 minutes, prep time of getting into the suits, and briefing is about an hour. When you finally get in the water you are treated to some of the most beautiful and drinkable water I’ve ever seen - don’t drink too much or you may end up buying your suit. If you are lucky to get some sunshine while you snorkel the water elevates to something mind blowing. The only downside to this adventure is that the area is inhabited by minges who are incredibly annoying so be prepared to constantly swat them or look silly so they don’t bother you. You end up in a small group with a guide which makes the experience even better. I would easily do this experience again.

It was pretty good! The flow of people at the site was very smooth, and before getting into the water, they briefly explained the swimming route. The guide initially said that if you got tired, you could rest, and verbally told us which areas we couldn't go into (because they were too deep). I thought it would be fine to just follow the guide, but he barely stopped, so if you don't keep up with him, you'll fall behind. You pretty much have to keep swimming until you reach a crevice where he'll take a photo for you, and then you'll loop back to another landing point. It's about a 1.5-hour swim with few breaks. Once you get out, they give you an energy bar and hot chocolate. The guide was very nice. If I had more stamina, I would have enjoyed it even more! Also, one of my companions had water get into their drysuit and was very cold halfway through the swim, so if possible, remember to bring an extra change of clothes and some cold medicine.

Talagang napakagandang biyahe ito para sa amin. Napakakumportable ng bus kaya hindi kami nakaramdam ng pagod kahit na mahigit 800km ang nilakbay. Si Geri, na aming gabay, ay isang napakagaling na gabay. Nakita namin ang iceberg at iba pang likas na yaman ng South Coast. Talagang kahanga-hanga!!!!

Sina Petra at Dean ang naglibot sa amin at masasabi kong napakasaya nito! Binago nila ang mga lokasyon depende sa posibilidad ng aurora at sa panahon at nagkaroon kami ng FANTASTIC na pagkakita malapit sa Keflavik! Napakakusa nilang dalawa at pinanatili kaming alerto! Nagustuhan ko ito!

Napakagandang tour! Ang bus ay nasa oras at komportable. Lubos naming nasiyahan at namangha sa mga kahanga-hangang kagandahan ng bunganga ng bulkan, ang geyser, ang napakalakas na talon, at ang pambansang parke. Lubos na inirerekomenda!

Great trip! Our guide was a retired Icelandic man who is very knowledgeable. I have brought some snacks with me and decided to skip the dine-in lunch. The guide arranged me to take a scenic hike trail around the town of Arnarstapi. Highly recommended!

I took three day trips from Reykjavik and it is my favorite one. You will have the opportunity to see some of the most iconic sights in Iceland, such as Skogarfoss and Reynisfjara Beach. Highly recommended!
