Fantastic 5.0
The entire experience with pickup is about half a day, you only spend less than an hour in the water. The drive from Reykjavik is about 45 minutes, prep time of getting into the suits, and briefing is about an hour. When you finally get in the water you are treated to some of the most beautiful and drinkable water I’ve ever seen - don’t drink too much or you may end up buying your suit. If you are lucky to get some sunshine while you snorkel the water elevates to something mind blowing. The only downside to this adventure is that the area is inhabited by minges who are incredibly annoying so be prepared to constantly swat them or look silly so they don’t bother you. You end up in a small group with a guide which makes the experience even better. I would easily do this experience again.

It was pretty good! The flow of people at the site was very smooth, and before getting into the water, they briefly explained the swimming route. The guide initially said that if you got tired, you could rest, and verbally told us which areas we couldn't go into (because they were too deep). I thought it would be fine to just follow the guide, but he barely stopped, so if you don't keep up with him, you'll fall behind. You pretty much have to keep swimming until you reach a crevice where he'll take a photo for you, and then you'll loop back to another landing point. It's about a 1.5-hour swim with few breaks. Once you get out, they give you an energy bar and hot chocolate. The guide was very nice. If I had more stamina, I would have enjoyed it even more! Also, one of my companions had water get into their drysuit and was very cold halfway through the swim, so if possible, remember to bring an extra change of clothes and some cold medicine.

It was absolutely a wonderful trip for us. The bus was so comfortable that we did not feel tired though the travelling distance was more than 800km. Geri who was our guide was a wonderful guide. We were able to see the iceberg and other natural heritages of the South Coast. Absolutely amazing!!!!

We had Petra and Dean bring us around and I must say this was really fun! they changed the locations on the spot depending on the possibility of the aurora and the weather and we had a FANTASTIC sighting near Keflavik! the two of them are so spontaneous and kept us on our toes! I loved it!

Great trip! Our guide was a retired Icelandic man who is very knowledgeable. I have brought some snacks with me and decided to skip the dine-in lunch. The guide arranged me to take a scenic hike trail around the town of Arnarstapi. Highly recommended!

Jessica was a fantastic guide from Bus Travel Iceland-friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the trip. We were lucky to have sunny weather, which made the views along the road even more stunning. The tour was well organized, everyone stayed on schedule, and the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended when visiting Iceland!

I took three day trips from Reykjavik and it is my favorite one. You will have the opportunity to see some of the most iconic sights in Iceland, such as Skogarfoss and Reynisfjara Beach. Highly recommended!

What to know before visiting Reykjavik

Reykjavik at a glance: what to expect year-round

Reykjavik’s Klook bookings are dominated by Tours, Outdoor & sports activities and Museums, so the city suits travellers keen on guided sightseeing, nature-based experiences and cultural stops. Demand peaks strongly in October and is much lighter through late spring and midsummer, giving the year a clear high-and-low rhythm. Most activity types show a mix of budget to mid-range options, with outdoor experiences tending to sit at slightly higher price points.

When to visit: crowds, prices and the best windows

Klook data shows the busiest months are October and the autumn run into November, while demand drops to its lowest point in June and is also low across May through August. Prices drift up and down separately: past bookings were typically cheapest in September and ran highest around May, so peak demand in October does not perfectly match the priciest month. If you want smaller crowds and lower prices, aim for September or the quieter late-spring to early-summer months; if you prefer the peak-season atmosphere, visit in October or November when demand is liveliest.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book roughly a week in advance on average, with early planners locking things in about a month ahead and last-minute options often still available a day before. For travel during October’s busy period, consider booking in advance to secure popular tours and outdoor slots; for trips in quieter months you can be more flexible and still find options on Klook.
