Pompei

Detta var en av de bästa turerna jag har varit på och så omfattande när det gäller att lära sig om vad som ledde fram till Vesuvius utbrott, och hur det påverkade både Herculaneum och Pompeji. Vår guide, Fredo, var utmärkt. Han svarade på alla våra frågor och var så kunnig om området och hur utbrottet stelnade dessa två städer i tiden. Han var bra på att förklara likheterna och skillnaderna mellan båda städerna år 79 e.Kr. och ruinerna/utgrävningarna/bevarandet av båda platserna än idag. Fredo pekade också ut alla de bästa aspekterna av vad som är så betydelsefullt med ruinerna och lyfte fram arkitekturens och konstens konstnärlighet i hela staden i de olika mosaikerna och freskerna. Jag skulle definitivt rekommendera denna resa till alla som är intresserade av att lära sig om historien om dessa två städer. Se bara till att ta med vatten och saker att täcka dig med (solskyddsmedel, solglasögon, hatt, etc.) eftersom dagen vi åkte var solig och varm.

Datumet vi valde sammanföll med ett italienskt cykellopp, så vi kunde inte besöka Neapels centrum. Vi fick ett meddelande tre dagar före resan, där det även nämndes att vi kunde ändra datum. Vi tänkte att vi ändå kunde åka till Pompeji, så vi svarade inte. Då ringde personalen oss för att fråga, och vi är verkligen tacksamma för deras engagemang och ansvarstagande. Vi trodde att alla redan hade fått meddelande i förväg, men när vi samlades på dagen upptäckte vi att många som bokat via andra plattformar inte hade fått någon information. De fick veta av guiden på plats att de inte kunde åka till Neapel. Då var vi verkligen glada att vi hade bokat resan via Klook. Vår italienska guide var mycket professionell och älskade sitt land. Under hela resan presenterade hon flytande på engelska och spanska de speciella landskapen, sevärdheterna och historiska berättelserna längs vägen. Hon gav också många tips för dem som inte deltog i den guidade turen i Pompeji och gav oss praktisk information om vår fikastund i det moderna Pompeji, vilket var mycket givande! The Amalfi Coast is one of the world's most beautiful cliffside colorful towns, while Pompeii is a 2,000-year-old Roman city preserved in volcanic ash. These two prime attractions are perfect for combining into a layered journey through Southern Italy. The careful arrangements by tour leader Macro, the superb driving skills of driver Rosario on the winding mountain roads, and the detailed explanations by Pompeii guide Elia brought this trip to a perfect close!

Det är verkligen prisvärt. Det som är bra är att de tar dig till platsen och ger dig tillräckligt med tid att njuta och promenera i olika områden. Det är synd att jag bokade för sent så jag kunde inte följa med de andra, men det var faktiskt ganska skönt det också.

Thanks to our tour guide Michela, Pompeii guide Lily, and the Vesuvius guide (apologies, I don't remember his name) for their thoughtful and comprehensive introductions. Michela kindly led us throughout the day, Lily's detailed knowledge of Pompeii was impressive, and the Vesuvius guide's understanding of the volcano clearly showed his passion for nature. I distinctly remember after leaving Pompeii, our guide Michela quoted a line from the Bible's Ecclesiastes: "There is nothing new under the sun." This allowed us to imagine the lives of people 2,000 years ago through the ancient ruins and mountainous terrain! Due to the system's 3MB photo upload limit, I couldn't provide many of my good photos. I hope the system can improve this aspect.

Angie and Josephine were organized and tried their hardest to keep the group together. We really appreciated their effort and the Pompei ruins were so interesting! The lunch before the Vesuvius hike was a thoughtful touch. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, the trek to the crater is quite challenging.

The audio guide announced by the bus driver where you get off the bus is a private one! Do not go there~~ Once you buy your ticket and go inside, there is an official audio guide information desk! (Korean available) At the private audio guide rental shop, even after I asked for Korean and they checked the Korean passport I had laid out, they made me pay first (20 euros for two). Only then did they say there was no Korean, that they thought it was English because I spoke in English, that it couldn't be canceled because I paid by card, and offered a book instead. With no other choice, I accepted the English one, and when I rented the official audio guide inside, it was 14 euros for two. Although the pronunciation is a bit awkward, the Korean explanation is well done. Based on a cruise shore excursion, getting off, walking to find the bus stop, taking the bus, and making the round trip was not difficult.
