Today's tour was truly enjoyable. I was worried when the weather was cloudy in the morning, but it gradually cleared up, allowing me to take many wonderful photos. We first visited Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), then the safari, and finally Yufuincho Kawakami. Kodama Rikuto's explanations were perfect, and the English explanations were also very clear and easy to understand. He gave detailed explanations of Umi Jigoku, and at the safari, we even saw a cheetah, which he said usually stays mostly inside its enclosure. I was also very grateful that he sent separate KakaoTalk messages with detailed Korean explanations about the origins of Yufuincho Kawakami for Korean speakers. He was a truly wonderful guide. My wife and I had a wonderful day trip to Yufuin and Beppu. We explored the beautiful scenery, sampled local delicacies, and soaked our feet in the hot springs, which was very relaxing. Our tour guide was Hedy. She is friendly and helpful. She was really beneficial to us. She provided historical background and suggested a good selection of delicious foods to try. At every stop, she would remind us to use the restroom.

Booking through Klook saves you the hassle of trying to secure tickets online for the Yufuin no Mori sightseeing train. Taking a tour bus directly to Kyushu Natural Zoological Park also means you don't need to rent a car, which is much more convenient. Our tour guide, Lily, was very dedicated, providing detailed explanations throughout the trip and sharing her experiences traveling in Japan. Highly recommended!

Today, I joined a one-day tour to Kyushu, visiting four attractions. I initially thought the pace would be rushed, but it wasn't tiring at all because the driver and tour guide arranged everything perfectly throughout the trip. Our tour guide, Jin, was practically a walking encyclopedia! His explanations were engaging and so humorous that even the elderly and children listened attentively to his stories. **First Stop: Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) - A Spectacle of Two-Colored Hot Springs ♨️** It turns out the blue and red hot spring pools have different mineral compositions. Tour guide Jin meticulously explained why two pools so close to each other would have different colors. **Second Stop: Kyushu African Safari Park 🦁** I thought the elderly and teenagers would find watching animals boring, but to my surprise, everyone was constantly exclaiming "Wow, wow, wow!" and taking photos of the animals. Although we couldn't ride the cage bus to feed the animals, we still managed to take many beautiful photos of them while touring in the air-conditioned bus. My family's favorite part was feeding the ponies and petting the kangaroos. **Third Stop: Yufuin Street Food Guide 🍡** Before we got off the bus, tour guide Jin provided each family with a Yufuin food map. We took the elderly and the young ones to explore the street food, trying various local delicacies, but the weather was really hot! **Fourth Stop: Mount Yufu Trailhead ⛰️** The last stop of the itinerary was the Mount Yufu trailhead. I initially thought it would be unremarkable, planning to just get off the bus for 10 minutes to take a photo. To my surprise, it was like an IMAX theater with a super-sized mountain view! The lush green mountains stretched as far as the eye could see, truly refreshing!

The vehicle is clean and spacious. The guide, while not particularly chatty or offering to help load luggage when picking us up, was helpful in looking for my son's AirPod that fell out of his ear. I found it costly and puzzling to pay an extra 14,000 yen for additional hours and for driving an empty car back to Fukuoka, as we changed accommodation to the last destination of that day's itinerary (Nagabetaki Fall, Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge, Tadawara Wetland, Beppu Ropeway, Yufuin), meaning we were not returning to Fukuoka. I am unsure if I am being charged for the time the driver-guide spent driving back to Fukuoka alone.

The service was excellent from the moment I chatted with the company. When it was time for the pick-up, the driver was incredibly attentive, detailed, and provided recommendations throughout the journey. They were punctual, and I was extremely impressed. Yufuin is truly beautiful! We had the most amazing pork katsu udon, all thanks to our guide Jing's recommendation. Just get a queue number from the restaurant and use that time to explore Yufuin. We purposely chose a weekday in mid-December (strangely, almost all shops were closed) to go to the safari. Unfortunately, they had fewer jungle buses in operation, so we toured the safari in our coach. Remember to visit the petting zoo at the safari; they let you hold a guinea pig on your lap!
