The tour guide for this group is from Hong Kong. Sheila, our guide, is a very thoughtful person. She reminded us that the journey would be long and advised us to prepare food from a convenience store to eat when hungry. The trip was very comfortable, and the tour bus was spacious with plenty of room, so it didn't feel crowded. Every 2 to 3 hours, there was a rest stop where we could buy food and use the restroom. The first day's itinerary was Kamikochi, and it was very well-arranged; we visited all the planned attractions. The weather that day was excellent, neither too hot nor too cold. Kamikochi's scenery is beautiful and well worth a visit; I recommend it to everyone. The first night's hotel was a hot spring ryokan in Hakuba Onsen. The buffet was delicious, and the food selection was abundant. The second day's itinerary was Tateyama Kurobe, but unfortunately, the weather was bad, and the Snow Valley was closed, which gives us a reason to visit again. We returned to Tokyo around 7 PM after the trip concluded. Guide Sheila also recommended some good restaurants to try in Tokyo. We followed her advice and went to a beef tongue restaurant, which was quite tasty. Many thanks to our guide for giving us such an enjoyable two-day, one-night trip.

This is the most scenic place I've been. The weather was just nice for a leisurely hike. Temperature hovers around 18 degree celsius in early June and I didn't even break a sweat throughout the 3hrs hike. For those who wants to visit the Myojin shrine from the starting point at Taisho pond, do hasten your pace as there will just be enough time to finish the route back to to the bus terminal, without much time for lunch. For those who just want to take it easy, its recommended to stop at Kappa bridge which takes about 1.5h from starting point. Most of the scenic spots are from Taisho to Kappa bridge. It's the one place that you'll want to visit in every season.

First, I'd like to thank our tour guide, Anna, for leading us on the Tateyama Kurobe tour on May 8th. From the moment we boarded the bus, she provided very detailed explanations and repeated them in both Chinese and English. It seemed that if there were Japanese participants, she might have even explained everything again in Japanese. Whether it was the history of Tateyama, scenic spots, or even the origins of the leaves on the Chishou sushi bento, she could explain their stories, which was truly impressive. Furthermore, during the tour, she would always be the first to arrive at the meeting point, holding her flag high. She would also offer timely and helpful tips, such as limited-edition souvenirs, seating areas, recommended positions when riding various modes of transport, crowd control, and perfect timing. In short, she is a truly admirable person. Regarding the attractions, I honestly felt very lucky. I initially thought it would be a day ruined by heavy rain, as there was heavy rain and strong winds on the way to Tateyama Station… My heart sank at that moment. I instantly thought, “How are we going to enjoy anything like this?” However, from Tateyama Station onwards, the rain stopped. Then, at Murodo, at a crucial moment, there was only fog and wind, but the visibility was still very high, which made the experience uniquely enjoyable. The fog even looked like a scene that was almost snow, but not quite. Besides our own group, I saw many other tourists having a great time. Later, at Daikanbo, there was no rain or fog at the observation deck or when riding the ropeway, allowing us to take in the panoramic view. It was truly breathtaking; any photo taken could be a postcard. At Kurobe Lake and Kurobe Dam, I had heard there would be significant rain, but when our group arrived at Kurobe Lake, the rain stopped again, and the visibility was incredibly high. The unobstructed view of the dam was another kind of spectacular and magnificent sight. Was our group blessed with some special luck? Thank you to our tour guide and the hardworking driver. Watching him drive precisely and smoothly on the dark and winding roads on the way back showed his extensive experience. Most of the tourists, including myself, slept soundly. Thank you to all the staff for providing us with such a wonderful experience on this one-day tour! I would definitely recommend this to friends who aspire to travel independently but also want an easy way to experience the Kurobe Tateyama route.

The meeting point was easy to find, and the departure was on time. Even though it was raining and cloudy on the day we went, we were still able to comfortably walk the 3.5 km without getting tired. Our guide, Yamada, provided detailed explanations in both English and Japanese. There were three rest stops, and we arrived back in Nagoya on time, around 7 PM.

For those deterred by inconvenient transportation, this tour is highly recommended as it's incredibly convenient. The itinerary includes transportation from Nagoya to Kamikochi, one night's accommodation, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route ticket (Ogizawa-Tateyama), and return transportation from Tateyama to Nagoya. There's ample time reserved for the Kamikochi hike; we chose the 8-kilometer route and had plenty of time for lunch! Dinner is included with the accommodation, and there's a hot spring public bath to wash away the day's fatigue 😊. On the second day, we also got to see the Snow Wall of the Snow Corridor, which was what we most wanted to see at Tateyama Kurobe! Our guide, Abu, was a man of few words, but everything he said was important and needed reminding. His service was excellent, and he drove very steadily 👍. Overall, we had a great experience on the tour.

I saw a TikTok about this place and became so fixated that I HAD to go there no matter what. Taking this tour was a great choice as it allowed for an easy transfer to and from Kamikochi. The first stop at Taisho Pond was breathtaking, which got me excited for the rest of the walk. The greenery of the forest in mid-June was a sight to behold, along with the Japanese Alps in the distance. The trail was not super crowded until you reached Kappa Bridge. There is also an additional trail to Myojin Bridge and Myojin First Pond, but only if you have an additional 2 hours to spare. I was taking my time on the first trail so I couldn't make it to the second, but I would definitely come back to do it!

We joined this tour a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Sheila was our tour guide; she was friendly, helpful, and took excellent care of us. The accommodation was good, even though the hotel looked a bit old. The staff there were also very friendly. We did encounter a day of bad weather, and the snow wall was closed, but overall, this 2-day, 1-night trip was well worth it.
