Caminhada leve de um dia em Kamikochi: Lago Taisho, Ponte Kappa e vista dos Alpes do Norte (partindo de Nagoia)

Initially, I was hesitant to join this tour. However, once I decided to go, it became one of my most memorable trips here in Japan. Our tour guide, Leonardo/Leo, was very accommodating. He explained routes 1 and 2 very clearly, and we could choose either. We opted for route 1 to have more time for photos along the way. I also commend the bus driver for the safe journey there and back. 3.5 hours of free time to stroll around Kamikochi was sufficient to see, photograph, and enjoy the beauty of nature. The weather was sunny, and the mountains were visible. The rivers were clean and clear. Before heading to the bus terminal at 3 PM for our departure back to Nagoya, we were able to buy gifts and souvenirs near Kappa Bridge. Just be sure to always keep an eye on the time when shopping, as there are often many people queuing to pay in the stores. Overall, this tour is well worth the price and the experience.

If you like to spend time in the scenic Japanese alps, this trip to Kamikochi is worth it. Trips to Nagano gets filled quickly during autumn season, so I booked it a few weeks in advance. Travel arrangements were quite good and it was a smooth ride. The staff were friendly and gave instructions in different languages that were easy to follow. I look forward to another trip to Nagano. Initially I was skeptical whether I could complete the hike or not, as I'm not particularly keen on hiking. However, after watching some YouTube videos and learning that Kamikochi is very scenic, I decided not to miss it and signed up for the hiking tour. I'm glad I did. I loved the tour because Kamikochi is incredibly scenic, and our tour guide, Tomika-san, was very attentive and helpful, always assisting us in taking great photos. The only issue I found was that the directions to the meeting point on the Klook selling page were not clearly specified. There should be more visuals and signage to make it easier to find, as the meeting point is not on the main road but on an inner road. For me, I went to check it out the day before and had difficulty finding it. Once I found it, I thought I could easily find it the next day, the hiking day. But alas! It wasn't what I thought. I was so near and yet so far as I lost my way in finding the meeting point. In the end, I took a taxi.

We took Route 2 and are quite fast walkers. I wouldn't recommend it unless you skip the Myojin Pond entry, as we lost GPS signal and then realized we would arrive at the bus past the meet-back time, causing us to run for 20 minutes to make it. We thought the best view was the main Kappa Bridge anyway, but everywhere is beautiful, and we still thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The driver stops about 1.5 hours in and on the way back for restroom breaks.

Unfortunately, it was a rainy day during our trip. Otherwise, it was a scenic and tranquil trail perfect for a leisurely walk. There was sufficient time for walking and taking breaks along the way. I recommend the apple pie and yogurt drink at the shops near the bus terminal. The guide wasn't much of a guide; they basically acted as a chaperone during the bus transfer, giving instructions on meeting times and locations, and reminding us not to litter on the bus. No historical or other information about the region was provided whatsoever.

I went on 11/12 before the mountain closed for the season. There were already very few maple leaves, and there was snow on the mountain. The temperature was low, but walking kept me warm enough, though my hands were very cold and icy. This time, I chose to walk to Myojin Pond. I got off at the bus stop and started walking. I began at Kappa Bridge at 12 PM and returned to Kappa Bridge around 2:30 PM, with the bus departing at 3:10 PM. The wait to take photos at Myojin Pond wasn't very long. If there are too many people queuing, you'll need to decide if it's worth waiting. We walked at a fairly brisk pace; it wasn't a leisurely stroll, but we weren't rushing either.🤣🤣

Kamikochi is definitely worth a visit. It's very scenic and the views are magnificent. The guide is friendly and willing to help, and the itinerary is great.

Itinerary: There are three recommended walking routes. Following the guide's suggestion for the easy path is already beautiful. The environment is truly stunning; every photo looks like a computer desktop background.
