Choosing the early morning tour was the right decision – fewer people, relatively cooler, and the sunlight was very pleasant. Highly recommended! The tour guide was exceptionally good, spoke English without a strong accent, and the information provided, whether about My Son or other Vietnamese culture, was very interesting. Our guide, Mr. Thien, spoke fluent English and was very professional and thorough in explaining the history of My Son Sanctuary. Afterwards, we enjoyed a Cham dance and ancient musical instrument performance, which was fantastic. The My Son ruins are nestled in a beautiful forest, and walking through them gives a serene and wonderful feeling. Later, we drove to the pier, and taking a boat back to Hoi An Ancient Town was also a very special experience. In the evening, with the gentle breeze blowing and eating banh mi, I felt that the afternoon My Son Sanctuary tour was quite perfect.
