Things to do in My Son Sanctuary

Tickets can be conveniently redeemed directly at the ticket office. A shuttle bus is available, and there are wonderful song and dance performances. Two hours is plenty of time for the visit.

I received an immediate confirmation from the local tour company after booking. The day before the tour, they contacted me to reconfirmed the arrangements. The pickup from the hotel was punctual and the van is comfortable. Our English speaking guide Thomas is courteous and informative. My Son is really hot irregardless if it's morning or afternoon tour. The pictures turned out really really amazing. It's really worth the trip if you are into heritage site and do not mind the heat.

The fare includes the ride and lunch. The tour guide's explanations were detailed, making it great value for money. The 8 AM tour was already very hot; an afternoon tour would definitely lead to heatstroke.

Choosing the early morning tour was definitely the right decision! There were fewer people, it wasn't as hot, and the sunlight was lovely. Highly recommended! Our tour guide was absolutely excellent; his English had no strong accent, and his explanations, whether about My Son or other aspects of Vietnamese culture, were fascinating. Throughout the tour, he made an effort to chat with each group of travelers about different cultures and lifestyles, which was truly impressive! The snacks and noodles at the end were also quite good!

Very nice half-day tour with coffee and breakfast included. The “early” morning start is very much preferable, as the afternoon summer heat would make this trip much less enjoyable. Lin was a great guide making sure all questions got answered and everyone was taken care of. The lack of large crowds was also very welcoming.

If you're visiting Central Vietnam, you absolutely must book this tour: My Son Sanctuary + boat trip + banh mi. It was truly fantastic! The tour operator proactively contacted me very quickly after I booked, and even sent a reminder the day before with detailed itinerary information. Their service was absolutely excellent. Our guide, Mr. Thien, spoke fluent English and provided a very professional and detailed explanation of My Son Sanctuary's history. Afterwards, we enjoyed a Champa dance and ancient musical instrument performance, which was also wonderful. The My Son ruins are nestled in a beautiful forest, and walking through them gives you a serene and lovely feeling. Later, we drove to the pier, and the boat ride back to Hoi An Ancient Town was a unique experience. In the evening, with a gentle breeze blowing and enjoying banh mi, I felt that the afternoon My Son Sanctuary tour was quite perfect.
