What to expect
Keen to make the most of Central Vietnam during your short time there? My Son Sanctuary and the Marble Mountains are two of the most popular attractions. Whether you like ancient history or impressive nature, there’s no need to choose: we’re taking you on an action-packed day tour visiting both spots and a few extras, too.
First we’ll make the pilgrimage to My Son Sanctuary, a unique collection of temples built by the Cham people in the 4th century. This Hindu worship site is dedicated to Shiva, something you’ll learn about thanks to our experienced tour guide.
We’ll continue to tour Da Nang, where the majestic Marble Mountains, and Tam Thai Pagoda loom for miles around. We’ll discover dimly-lit cave temples, admiring colourful pagodas and gazing out over the Vietnamese countryside.

if you wanted to hit your daily 10k steps goal, this tour is for you. the marble mountains have lots of stairs, but its summit offered great view of da nang city. you’ll also get to visit lots of pagoda and temples within caverns. meanwhile, the my son sanctuary has many interesting structures and sculptures. this is one of the recommended places to visit if you’re curious about the history of vietnam, particularly its lost kingdom of champa. what i really liked about this tour is our guide, justin. he has a very upbeat attitude and is very knowledgeable about the history and details of the places we visited. overall, i had a great time during our tour. p.s. you might want to bring an umbrella or cap/hat if you’re touring on a sunny day because the heat is quite unbearable.
Going to the Marble Mountain and My Son Sanctuary in a day seemed fitting. We started the day with the Marble Mountain and rested our legs during the hour-long card ride to My Son. Hiking up and down the mountains was tiring; my dad opted to wait at the temple since he has difficulty walking. However the walk around the My Son Sanctuary was mostly flat, so it’s easier for people with mobility issues. I’m happy that our guide Justin accommodated my dad’s needs, and ensured he had a comfortable place to wait while touring the rest of the family. Overall we all enjoyed!
I enjoyed the trip way more than I expected! Great tour group of 8 people. The place was amazing and the tour guide gave a great explanations about each area which I may have not known if I went there by myself. It might’ve been a little better if there was a little more interactions from the tour guide since she tends to walk really fast. But she was very nice and helpful!
I was the only person who participated in the tour on that day. The tour guide, Hoàng, was sensible, smart, and entertaining person. The driver was also a nice person. I really enjoyed the tour because of them. Actually I came back to my hotel much earlier than the scheduled time, but we went through all the points of the tour, and Hoàng explained courteously at each site. We had lunch at the restaurant on a premise of My Son Sanctuary. The weather forecast predicted a typhoon was approaching, so I was wondering whether to cancel until the last minute, but I'm so glad I participated! Since there were no other participants, it was an unexpected private tour. The tour guide, Hoàng, was very attentive and smart, and although his Vietnamese accent was sometimes difficult to hear, he was a fun person to talk to. The driver was also a nice person. Thanks to them, I really enjoyed the tour! Actually, I came back to my hotel much earlier than the scheduled time of 4:00 p.m., but I was able to see all the main points of the tour, and Hoàng explained each point carefully. For lunch, we had to pay at our own expense, but we had mi quang (dry noodles) at a restaurant on the My Son ruins.

people who like historical will feel it nice. people who don’t like historical will need to lower their expectation. good to visit if you have spare time.
Nhung was a great tour guide! She was super sweet and very informative about the history of both My Son and Marble Mountains. She was a great photographer as well for me and my partner. I had a lot of fun on this tour.
the guide was super helpful especially during the bad weather we are experiencing during our tour. Help us navigate the place like a pro
The itinerary and guide was great. It was a bit fast paced but still nice experience. We were able to take good photos.
