I learned a lot about Vietnamese and Champa history by joining this tour. Our tour guide was Handsome Lung :) he grew up in Hoi An giving him the credibility of sharing valuable information about My Son Sanctuary. We availed the afternoon tour for the sunset and the place wasn’t packed with visitors. Make sure to bring umbrella, hat, and sun screen as it will be very hot. This tour also includes boat ride to the night market which is perfect if you want to visit Hoi An’s night market.
it was fun and i admire mr. chau out tour guide with his impeccable knowdlege and humor. he see to it that we are well and attend tobour needs. i enjoyed making the rice paper. it was hot so its advisable that you bring anything to beat the heat
Had a great time on the My Son tour! The ruins were fascinating and the trip was well organized from start to finish. Special thanks to our tour guide, Michael, who was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience much more enjoyable with his interesting explanations about the history and culture. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
the tour package was wonderful..the guide, Michael is very funny and giving good history descriptions about the my son sanctuary. on the way back, we visited local family who is making rice paper and had lunch at local restaurant. Then back to hotel by boat..what an experience!...We enjoyed the tour.. highly recommended!!
Traveling with family to My Son Sanctuary was more than just a sightseeing trip—it was a journey into history and culture. We began early in the morning, leaving behind the lively streets and markets, and soon found ourselves surrounded by the quiet majesty of the temple complex. The first glimpse of it's towers rising above the trees felt surreal, as if we were stepping into a story carved centuries ago.
We had a great experience visiting My Son Sanctuary during our trip near Da Nang. The ancient temple ruins are beautiful and full of history, and the surrounding jungle scenery makes the place even more special. Our guide was informative and explained the history and significance of the temples clearly. I'd like to thank Ms. Thu for being so patient with my mother because she walks slow (so if you're travelling with elderly people, think twice before booking since there would be long walks here). Also, if you choose the afternoon tour, be prepared because it can get very hot, especially when walking around the ruins. I highly recommend bringing umbrellas, caps, sunscreen, and plenty of water to stay comfortable during the visit.
They arrived at the hotel on the morning of the reservation without any prior notice the day before. It seemed like they were trying to contact us beforehand via WhatsApp. Once in the vehicle, they shared their contact information using their KakaoTalk ID. The vehicle was comfortable. The guide, Thu, was friendly and used easy-to-understand English, and she kindly explained not only the My Son Sanctuary but also various aspects of Vietnamese culture. This tour starts a bit earlier than other tours, which is advantageous because you can explore the ruins before they get crowded with tourists. However, the lack of free time at the ruins was a bit disappointing. There was a guide app available at the site, but it required a paid subscription. The rice paper-making experience was simple and straightforward. Lunch offered a variety of dishes, but the portions felt a bit small. The boat trip on the way back was a unique and enjoyable experience. Overall, I am satisfied.
One of the best half day trips that we had. Our guide, Sherlock, was witty, engaging and informative. He kept the group engaged during the entire trip. My Son was nice and looks like a mini Angkok Wat. Plus point that this tour includes a boat ride to the old town during sunset and comes with free snacks. Highly recommended!
We had a good time during our My Son Sanctuary tour. Our tour guide Luan(The handsome Lung) arrived on time at our hotel and is knowledgeable of the history of the sanctuary. We also visited a local rice paper maker and had a boat ride in the Thu Bon River. A set lunch is also included in the tour package.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Tour with Luan the Handsome Lung. Had a wonderful trip to My Son Sanctuary in Vietnam. Our tour guide, Luan handsome Lung , was excellent — very helpful, cheerful, and provided great service throughout the tour. He made the experience fun and informative. Highly recommended!
