My Son Sanctuary is fine, but the tour guide was very talkative. While I understand his passion and vast knowledge, the information provided for each and every stone was overkill for me. 😅 My Son can be done as a DIY trip and completed in an hour if the tour guide would only focus on the highlights and give tourists more time to take pictures than listen to him! Hoi An was very nice, chill, and our tour guide there was great. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with the tour – comfortable transfers and the inclusion in the ticket price offered good value for money.
My son and I went on this comprehensive tour. First to the temple, then to the city. There were two different guides, one for the temple and one for the city. I really enjoyed the temple tour. My son and I had a very professional guide who led the tour well; we visited all the interesting places, and it was amazing. Then there was the tour to Hoi An. Honestly, I'm glad I took the comprehensive tour, because there's no point in just taking a single tour to Hoi An, as there isn't much to see for a long time; everything is close by, and there aren't many historical sites. Also, when we visited Hoi An, the Japanese Bridge was closed for renovation, and for some reason, the guide didn't take us to the old Phung Hung house, but we did attend a local historical concert there, which we really enjoyed. Overall, I recommend the tour to everyone; you'll have a good time and get new impressions.
We are a family of three. This was supposed to be a join-in tour but ended up becoming a private tour. We toured My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An. My Son was about the Cham ruins, which are about 700 years old. We were treated to a colorful performance. Then we visited Hoi An and had lunch there. Hoi An has many shophouses. The weather was hot.
Another trip with TravelMart Vietnam! Scott was a really informative guide who gave us enough time at each stop! We loved it!
We had the best day during this trip! We booked in late at night before and Ms. Lang confirmed and checked our booking instantly. Very easy to contact too. Everything was arranged properly, making sure we got to see the best things Da Nang could offer despite the weather. The tour to My Son is a must, so I highly recommend booking this tour. Tang, our tour guide, is so great and fun to be with. He would recommend great locations and food for us to try both in My Son and Hoi An. The lunch they served was the best one we had in Vietnam. Tang also gave us a walking tour around Hoi An.
If you love history and architecture, this trip is definitely for you. Our guide can explain and knows the history of My Son. He helped us take good pictures. From the sanctuary, we continued to Hoi An and had our lunch there. It was great, serving set meals and a variety of Vietnamese food. Then we continued to walk around Hoi An. Hoi An was beautiful, but very crowded with tourists. As for the shops, they all sell quite similar goods: cloth, souvenirs, and coffee. Due to the crowds, prices are also very expensive. My wife bought one fridge magnet for 15,000 VND at My Son Sanctuary. In Hoi An, the same kind cost 40,000 to 60,000 VND.
The tour of My Son Sanctuary was good, and we even had time to watch a performance, making the morning very fulfilling. Lunch was incredibly ordinary. After eating, we took a boat to Hoi An. The people from our group left after disembarking, and only the two of us had the Hoi An sightseeing itinerary. However, it was just a quick glance, and they left us at some art and souvenir shops. After walking around for a bit, they immediately told us to get back on the bus, with no free time. This part was a bit disappointing.
