The charm of the forest railway was what drew me to book a 2-day, 1-night trip to Alishan (outbound: car, return: car + train). After confirming the reservation, I received information about what to bring and precautions via LINE, and just before the trip, I got detailed updates on the meeting point, driver's name, and vehicle number, which was reassuring. (Although everything was in Chinese, translation software helped me understand.) The documents provided when boarding the shuttle car also included Japanese, which was easy to understand. The guide spoke Chinese, so I couldn't understand without someone translating, but there were many explanation times during the 2-hour hike, and the paths were well-maintained with wooden decks and stone pavements, so even I, with low stamina, could walk comfortably even in the rain. One thing to note is that if you use a private shuttle car, there's a high risk of motion sickness because it drives on winding mountain roads with considerable inclines. Even though I don't usually get motion sickness, I felt quite ill in the shuttle car on the way back from Alishan to Fenqihu, and I regretted not bringing motion sickness medication.

I went to the location last minute and was assigned a therapist for a 100-minute foot and body massage. Overall, the service was satisfactory. I felt that this therapist was a bit new, but I believe with more practice and experience, they will become a top performer at the shop!

During this stay at Talmud Hotel Chiayi, the entire hotel had been renovated, and the overall environment was bright and comfortable, with a high-ceilinged lobby that offered a great sense of space. Initially, the room assigned had a noticeable musty smell due to high humidity. After reporting this to the hotel staff, they promptly and actively assisted in changing our room. The second room we were moved to was much improved, with both the room and bathroom kept very clean, making the overall stay much more comfortable. Regarding parking, if the spaces next to the hotel are full, there's another parking lot on the other side, though it's a bit further away. Alternatively, guests can choose to park on the street; the hotel will fully reimburse parking fees upon presentation of the receipt, which is very convenient for guests arriving by car. Overall, the hotel environment is bright after the renovation, the staff's attitude in resolving room issues was excellent, and the parking reimbursement is a thoughtful service.

The accommodation was great, located in Chiayi City. The room had a bathtub and a separate wet/dry area, which was very nice. However, the cleaning staff always wore headphones when they came, and it seemed like I had to repeat things several times for them to hear me. When we left, they left a rag on our table, and I wasn't sure what it was for. I hope they can pay more attention next time.

This stay at the Maison de Chine Hotel Chiayi's Classic Twin Room, despite the room type not having an external window, did not feel particularly cramped after actually checking in. The room planning is quite comprehensive, with spacious and comfortable areas. There is an appropriate distance between the two single beds, allowing for easy organization and movement even with a lot of luggage, which is very convenient for both leisure and business travelers. The completeness of the in-room facilities left a deep impression. In addition to a bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities, a capsule coffee machine is also provided, allowing coffee lovers to enjoy a rich, aromatic hot drink at any time. The hotel also embraces environmental concepts, with glass water bottles in the room that can be refilled at the water dispenser in the hallway. What's more, sparkling water machines are available on every floor, which is very thoughtful for guests who prefer sparkling water and demonstrates the hotel's attention to detail in its services. Although some public facilities and decor show signs of age and are not the latest design style, the overall maintenance is good, and the cleanliness of the environment and the operation of the equipment are reassuring. Rather than pursuing lavish novelty, one can feel that the hotel focuses on actual accommodation quality and a comfortable experience. Furthermore, one of the hotel's greatest advantages is its location. It is very convenient for reaching Chiayi city center shopping districts, local food areas, or taking an evening stroll to the night market, saving a lot of travel time. Overall, Maison de Chine Hotel combines comfortable space, complete facilities, and an excellent location, striking a good balance between price and accommodation quality, making it a worthwhile choice for a return stay in Chiayi.

Located in an alley next to the night market, it offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. There's a Watsons right at the alley's entrance, which is quite convenient. The room was clean, but the hallway air conditioning wasn't very strong, making it a bit stuffy (in late May). The self-service breakfast didn't have a huge selection, but it was very good, with even two hot dishes and hot soup for the Chinese options. There are no staff members at night, but there is security. Water dispensers are available on the first and third floors, and bottled water is also provided in the rooms. The bathroom does not have a separate wet and dry area, so caution is advised when using it. Being close to the night market has its pros and cons; it's very easy to find food, but during the day, Cultural Road inevitably has various smells. This accommodation is suitable for travelers seeking a simple, clean, and quiet stay, and it's quite comfortable for solo travelers.

After booking, we informed the hotel that a birthday celebrant would be staying that month. The front desk arranged for a 4-inch cake to be placed in the room's refrigerator, which was a pleasant surprise upon check-in. The gym, afternoon tea, and breakfast were all excellent; breakfast was much better than expected. A 4-star hotel certainly doesn't disappoint. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Chiayi.

We stayed here while visiting the Meteor Garden filming locations, Alishan, and Hinoki Village. The hotel is very accessible, it's conveniently located near the bus station, making it easy to get around. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great base for exploring the area. Would definitely recommend for the convenient location!
