I chose the Chinese guided tour, and our guide, Liu Mei, was incredibly enthusiastic. About 30 minutes before reaching our destination, she started showing us interesting places on a map in the car, so we wouldn't wander around aimlessly like headless chickens once we got off. Her explanations were also quite humorous. I found it to be a very compact and fulfilling one-day itinerary.

Due to the long journey, we couldn't spend too much time at each stop, but our tour guide, Geng Juan, told us about the must-see attractions and must-try eateries in each area before we got off the bus, which made our itinerary smoother. I still highly recommend everyone to join this convenient one-day tour to experience the different cultural landscapes outside the city.

Shirakawa-go is magnificent. The village is traditionally well preserved and worth visiting while you are in Gifu Prefecture.

The overall experience of this one-day tour (including the observation deck) was fantastic. Both the itinerary and the service quality were very satisfying. I especially want to commend our tour guide, Liu Mei. Her explanations were incredibly detailed, giving us a deeper understanding of the attractions, and we could ask her any questions at any time, which she would patiently answer. What's even more thoughtful is that she would proactively check if special attractions were open for us, and if they were, she would immediately send a message to notify everyone, allowing us to seize the opportunity to visit and take photos. Overall, it was a very pleasant and highly recommended trip!

Away from the hustle and bustle of city shopping centers, this trip is well worth it. Our tour guide, Geng Juan, provided detailed and thorough explanations. Highly recommended! 👍

We had a great time. Our tour guide, TIGER, was very pleasant. His recommendations were perfect. We were able to try Hida beef and daifuku. We were also able to visit the best houses in Shirakawa-go.
