Guide Florentina was fun and easy going. She explained all details and did not rush during the process. The itinerary was planned out well and our transportation to Kanazawa Station was a breeze. Thank you again Snow Monkey! 🤙
A nice tour started off in Takayama Jingya where our guide Yushi San explained the history of shogun, and Takayama is probably the last jinya available injapan. Good to have such guide to explain as he has been a carpenter and understand hiw the ancient building was constructed, otherwise we could not appreciate the visit. Only issue is that we need to bare foot or with socks to walk more than an hour in Jingya which was cold. Aftershock that we visited old town street and miyagawa morning market, but was already quite late and most stores were packing up. After an hour of free time, we were picked up by a small bus and went to Shirakawa-go, unfortunately it is snowing heavily, hence, we did not see much of the scenery. However, it was an experience walking on snow. Visited one of the village house and it was very interesting. We don't have free time and also missed the observatory point due to heavy snow. The entire trip was well organized and guide was good and experienced. He also can speak English quute well but with Japanese accent. Overall an interesting and nice tour. Need to walk a lot.
Takumi-san is a great guide, and the tour is very interesting, covering Takayama and Shirakawa-go. If you wish to continue to Kanazawa, the guide will assist you.
It was one of the best choices we made. The tour was perfect from pickup to drop-off. They thought of all the small details, including slippers when we were at Takayama Jinya, which would have been super cold without them. The itinerary was good, and we had enough free time to go at our own pace since this was a private tour (consisting of 6 people). I thank the tour guide, Gary, who was very knowledgeable and patiently answered our queries, including those from my children, and was also able to take great pictures (it comes with the price, hahaha). The driver also drove very well. I really recommend this tour to you. Two thumbs up!! P.S.: Shirakawago is amazing during winter; it feels like you travel to another dimension on Earth. No words can describe it. You should try it!
Our guide Yoshi was great! He explained the history at Takayama Jinya and walked us to the old town before we took a private bus to Shirakawago. It was snowing heavily and so cold for us folks from the tropics, but it was still a lovely experience. Thank you, we will visit again during other seasons!
The reservation was worth it. The guide (Mr. Mikasa) was polite and keen for us to learn different things about the Japanese route and culture. We would repeat the experience.
Yuko San is amazing. She’s knowledgeable, attentive and professional. She gave us important background of the places we go without boring us and answered every question we posed. She knew I was collecting stamps, so always reminded me when there’s one. The driver who eventually dropped us in Kanazawa was also the nicest!! I couldn’t recommend this tour enough
Great experience, lots of exciting places, English-speaking tour guide, beautiful places.
Tuvimos un día maravilloso aprendiendo sobre ambas áreas. Nuestro guía turístico tenía un conocimiento excepcional y se tomó su tiempo para mostrarnos los alrededores.
