Kitakanto Area Passeios

We went on the tour of Kyoto with Thea. Our group was around 10 people and lasted for about 2.5 hours. What a great way to get to see and understand the history of Kyoto. Both my 9 & 12 year old loved the tour as well, even more than the kitsunge workshop that we took earlier today. Thea was great in how she gave the group time to take photos, pray at different shrines if we wanted to, and helped capture nice family photos. Tip: Book a time about an hour before sunset so you can see some of the temples in daylight but also see Gion at night with lanterns.

I chose this tour very carefully for my trip to Tokyo with my children, and my choice was truly excellent. It was also a great stroke of luck to meet our guide, Kanazawa Seiga. The meeting time was 8 AM at Tokyo Station, and since our accommodation was in Ariake, I was worried about arriving late even though we woke up early to prepare. However, I was very grateful that she guided us by exchanging messages via KakaoTalk along the way, and even came to pick us up when we got off the bus to go to the meeting point. Fortunately, we were able to board the bus exactly at 8 AM, which I was thankful for. During the journey, she smiled brightly and told many interesting stories. I thought my second child wasn't listening, but it made me proud to see that he was paying close attention to the guide's stories and telling them to me. I thought we wouldn't be able to see Mount Fuji, but it was so clear and visible that I was truly, extremely satisfied with the tour. She also took photos with great enthusiasm and provided excellent guidance, which was wonderful. I will definitely book this again next time! Thanks to her, it was a happy tour.

A refreshing escape from Tokyo as it offers a perfect mix of nature, culture and great food.The local seafood was fresh and delicious. Seaside park was a bit disappointing as now is the season for the flower hills but since the park is big so still a nice walk in the green forest. There is fun fair and play ground for children but no time to play. Overall, exploring scenic parks, visiting temples and shrines, taking in the ocean views, Ibaraki offers a different side of Japan that's well worth discovering.

It was just in time for the nemophila bloom at Hitachi Seaside Park, and since it's quite inconvenient to travel there independently from Tokyo, I signed up for a Klook day tour. Our guide was Elsa, a gentle-spoken Chinese girl. The journey from Tokyo took about two hours. Our first stop was Oarai Isosaki Shrine and the torii gate by the sea. The shrine has over a thousand years of history, and the garden outside is very serene. After descending a long staircase, we reached the seaside to see the torii gate, and Elsa helped us take some beautiful photos! Afterwards, we went to Nakaminato Fish Market for lunch. The fish market isn't large, but even though it was a weekday, there were many tourists, and we waited a long time in line for lunch! We almost missed our集合 time, so we asked Elsa to help communicate, and she even assisted us in getting our food. We are truly grateful to her! The last stop was the main event, the nemophila flower fields. Hitachi Seaside Park is so vast that we paid extra to take the park tram to the flower fields, where we enjoyed taking photos and exploring. It was truly magnificent and beautiful! We were very lucky to have such a wonderful guide and fellow tour members. Everyone gathered on time, and we all rested quietly on the bus without making noise, enjoying a pleasant day together!

The tour leader was excellent. He reminded everyone to be on time, otherwise the bus would leave. This reminder was very effective, and everyone was punctual today, February 2nd. Lunch was delicious. Playing with the snow sled and snow tube in the morning was a lot of fun. The weather was great, with light, fine snow falling. We had a wonderful time. The strawberries were incredibly delicious; we ate until we were full. The tofu skin making experience in the afternoon was fantastic. It was my first time making tofu skin myself, and it was very enjoyable. Today's itinerary was superb. We were constantly eating and on our way to eat, haha. It was a wonderful trip. The tour leader and guide is Taiwanese and very enthusiastic and helpful. He even helped me take photos. He's a great person. This itinerary is excellent. I recommend it to anyone who wants to play in the snow.

J'ai participé à plusieurs visites étiquetées « petit groupe », mais elles finissent souvent par être plus grandes que prévu, mais celle-ci a vraiment tenu ses promesses. Le groupe était vraiment petit, ce qui a rendu toute l'expérience plus détendue et agréable. Nous avons visité trois sites, et j'ai vraiment apprécié la liberté que le guide nous a donnée d'explorer chaque endroit à notre propre rythme. En tant que voyageur solo, j'ai adoré pouvoir me promener et découvrir des choses par moi-même tout en recevant des recommandations utiles du guide sur les endroits où aller. Un conseil : assurez-vous de consulter le calendrier des fleurs du parc Hitachi Seaside avant de réserver, car différentes fleurs fleurissent tout au long de l'année. J'espérais voir les nemophilas, mais lors de ma visite, seules les jonquilles étaient en fleurs, ce qui était tout de même magnifique à leur manière. Dans l'ensemble, c'est une excellente visite si vous appréciez un équilibre entre encadrement et indépendance. Je la recommande vivement, surtout aux voyageurs solos qui apprécient la flexibilité.

Thank you, Mr. Gao Hongmiao, for your meticulous and patient care. You made every part of our itinerary today incredibly smooth. Although we didn't go to the waterfall, we saw the cherry blossoms in full bloom and caught the tail end of winter. In one day, we experienced the spring of blooming cherry blossoms, enjoyed all-you-can-eat, freshly picked strawberries, and saw the pure white snow that only appears in winter. Plus, we were back in Tokyo by just after 6 PM, with time to shop at the mall. We did so much in one day; it was truly worth every penny. Highly recommended!

I almost wanted to give up on this trip because the flower season was over, but then I thought a suburban trip would also allow my feet to rest. The date was the Friday after Golden Week, so there were far fewer tourists and almost no queues. The three attractions were not far apart. The itinerary was basically: get on the bus - sleep - attraction - eat - attraction - go back. Just getting to the first attraction took over 2 hours, and that was without much traffic. For Oarai Isosaki Shrine, I think the key is to go down the stairs to the beach. For the fish market, you really need to do your homework beforehand and decide immediately which restaurant to eat at, otherwise, you definitely won't have enough time. Finally, there's the park. I initially thought it was just a nature park, but unexpectedly, there were amusement rides inside, so those with children have a place to play. This time, because all the flowers had withered, we took the guided tour bus that circles the park. One round takes about 40-50 minutes. The park is really huge; if you don't take this, you'd have to rent a bicycle, otherwise, you'd be exhausted from walking. In conclusion, this itinerary is not one where a guide takes you around the attractions; it's all free time, so you absolutely must do your research beforehand.

The guide was incredibly kind, and when I asked for recommendations for good restaurants around Tokyo, they meticulously found some for me, allowing me to enjoy delicious meals. However, the travel time was longer than expected, so the time we could spend at our destination felt a bit short. This was the case even on a weekday, which made me think that travel time could be even longer on weekends.
