The stable owner's English communication skills are excellent, and he is very kind. Riding horses slowly through the forest and fields was very leisurely. It happened to be an overcast day, and it started to drizzle later, so it was very cool. We didn't practice in the stable first; after getting on the horse, the owner simply explained how to pull the reins to prevent the horse from eating wild grass by the roadside (fearing the horse might get poisoned), and that pulling the reins back means stopping. Then we set off. Halfway through, the stable owner said, "Lily (the name of the horse I was riding), don't overtake the horse in front!" I thought he was talking to the horse, but it turned out he was telling me to control the horse by pulling the reins slightly to slow it down, haha. It was also only after we set off that I learned I needed to spread my legs and then squeeze the horse's belly to make it start moving (I was afraid of squeezing too hard and making the horse run, but I was probably overthinking it). Although there was no prior training, it didn't hinder the trip. During the ride, four horses always moved in a single file. The owner walked beside the first horse, and his wife walked beside the third and fourth horses. You can give them a phone beforehand and ask them to help take photos and videos. After the experience, coffee, tea, or sports drinks are provided for resting in a small cabin, and there are also two very cute cats on site. It was a fantastic experience; people of all ages, from young to old, thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted more!
A very interesting experience! I was a bit nervous at first because I wasn't used to riding horses, but it got better and better. The instructors were a couple who led us at the front and back of the line, and they also helped us take some great photos and videos. It was truly satisfying! After the ride, we were treated to hot tea, and there were cute cats nearby. It was a very happy time! And the weather was great!
I've ridden horses before, but this was my first time strolling through mountains and forests. The mountains in Ibaraki are beautiful, and you can appreciate them even more by getting up close. The coach was kind and enthusiastic, and the horses were well-trained, friendly, and docile. Even complete beginners can easily experience the thrill of riding through the mountains. However, during the trip, the coach specifically asked us why we chose to visit Ibaraki in the summer. After we said there was no particular reason, the coach informed us that Ibaraki is beautiful in spring, autumn, and winter, but there are too many mosquitoes in the summer. They suggested we choose a different season for future visits. Oh, and the cats and dogs at the stable are all so cute; I absolutely love this place.
The service is excellent, and there's someone to look after you during the ride.
