Zoológico de Asahiyama e Lagoa Azul Iluminada: Excursão Romântica e de Inverno de um Dia

The tour was well organised. We were given about 3hrs to roam the grounds of the zoo which i initially thought would be too much but to my surprise it was just nice. Visited the lake as the itinerary and as i went there in winter, the lake is frozen but it's still beautiful with the light play. Do get snow spikes as it's challenging to walk on the slippery compacted snow.

I would highly recommend this day trip when in Sapporo. The bus staff were very friendly and translated everything into Japanese and English. The zoo was incredible. The animals were so close, and the penguin walk was so cute. The waterfall was beautiful and a must-see. The blue pond illumination was amazing to watch. Every part of this day trip was incredible.

It's absolutely worth participating in during winter. The time spent there was perfect. The Japanese tour guide was excellent, but it felt like everyone was on edge, as if you wanted to remove foreign currency from the market price.

Asahiyama Zoo offers close-up views of penguins, while Shirogane Blue Pond and Shirahige Waterfall boast beautiful scenery. The tour guide managed the time very precisely 👍👍👍

The guide was lovely and took great care of us. This trip was led by a Japanese guide, and even though we couldn't understand everything, we could feel their attentiveness and care. The places we visited were beautiful. I highly recommend this trip for those with limited time; you don't have to worry about time or transportation. It was a great trip for us, given our short timeframe.

The entire experience was great, except for the long ride to the location. It was so tiring. Nevertheless, the places we visited were worth it. Although the Asahiyama Zoo was subpar compared to the Maruyama Zoo, both in terms of the animals exhibited and the facilities in general, it was still quite enjoyable. The view from Shirohige Waterfall was breathtaking. The Blue Pond was disappointing. It was just a frozen lake with artificial lighting. Very underwhelming. The whole experience was still great though.

The distance is quite far, so the travel time was long. The tour guide couldn't speak English at all, which made it hard to feel engaged, but they still tried their best to inform us of meeting times. All the attractions were worth seeing. It would have been better if we could have stayed longer at the zoo. The Sun restaurant didn't allow indoor dining, so we had to eat ice cream outdoors in the snow. This is a good alternative if you can't drive yourself.

The bus arrived on time and all locations were according to schedule. The guide only communicated in Japanese, making it difficult to understand throughout the entire journey. We were given 3 hours at the zoo, and the other two sightseeing spots were allotted 30 minutes each. The travel time was approximately 2 hours round trip. I would suggest having a substantial breakfast as you might not have enough time for meals at the zoo.

This tour is convenient for travelers who don't drive themselves. The Japanese guide uses limited English to explain places and meeting times, which is clear and easy to understand. The animals are very cute, and the park scenery is quite beautiful. On a clear day, you can see many stars at night; we were just able to see Orion above the Blue Pond, which was very beautiful. The waterfall is also quite spectacular, but it's very cold, so we didn't spend too much time admiring it. Lunch needs to be self-arranged at the zoo, and there's no dinner time in the evening. Although eating in the car is allowed, we hope this tour could arrange a stop at a convenience store or small shop in the evening for food and a short break.
