Excursão ao Nascer do Sol em Borobudur (Colina/Templo com Escalada) em Yogyakarta

Pengalaman ini sangat berharga! :') Pemandu kami, Deny, tiba di penginapan kami tepat waktu pada pukul 3.45 pagi dan kami berhasil tiba di Setumbuk lebih awal untuk menikmati secangkir kopi. Setelah itu, kami mendaki bukit dan berhasil menyaksikan matahari terbit. Pendakiannya cukup mudah, jadi kami sangat merekomendasikannya! Dalam perjalanan turun, kunjungi Kedai Kopi Punthuk Setumbu untuk dekorasi yang unik dan singkong goreng yang luar biasa (kami kemudian mencari singkong goreng yang lebih enak dan sampai saat ini, ini adalah yang terbaik yang pernah kami makan)! Perjalanan ke Candi Borobudur berjalan lancar dan pemandu berbahasa Inggris kami (sayangnya saya lupa namanya) sangat luar biasa. Kami bisa merasakan kecintaannya pada monumen tersebut. It's a beautiful experience. Our driver Hegi picked us up right on time at 3.45 and we arrived perfectly on time to start our walk from the small parking up to the hill. We had a beautiful sunrise. After that we went to Borobodur. As Klook offered us to buy the tickets for the higher level through them for 150k each, we of course said yes. It was all perfectly managed and we had a great time.

Our driver Antoni was very responsible, picking us up on time in a clean car. The team communicated smoothly and managed to get us the very hard-to-obtain Borobudur temple climbing tickets, making us among the first to enter and avoid the daytime sun. The sunrise viewpoint offered fantastic scenery, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We also visited the Chicken Church along the way, which was a very unique experience.

On the afternoon (1 day before the trip), I received a group WhatsApp chat from Klook and the local agent regarding pick-up confirmation. That night, the driver Adi messaged to confirm the actual pick-up time and car number. Adi drives safely and was very helpful and friendly. His English is quite good. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day, and we did not get to see a scenic sunrise. For Borobudur, we paid an additional 150k per person for special access to climb the temple. This includes a pair of sandals, a guide, and temple access (please note that sandals are a must to enter the temple).

The reporting time was at 4 AM, and it was cold 🥶! It's highly recommended to layer up with something warm for the hill to catch the sunrise. I also enjoyed the photo area for taking pictures! For the temple, it's best to get the special access ticket to climb up the temple with these sandals 🙏

Kami tiba di Punthuk Setumbu sekitar pukul 4.30 untuk melihat matahari terbit. Ada sedikit pendakian sampai ke puncak. Setelah matahari terbit, kami langsung menuju Candi Borobudur. Kami memilih untuk meningkatkan tiket kami untuk mendaki Borobudur dan Aris membantu kami agar kami bisa menjadi yang paling awal untuk naik. Itu adalah perjalanan yang menakjubkan dan luar biasa.

Our driver, Romy, was very punctual, picking us up early in the morning. As agreed the day before, he had already purchased our tickets for the summit, gave us a basic introduction to Borobudur, and guided us to change into slippers and meet the park guide. The summit ticket included the cost of the park guide and the bamboo woven slippers. The park guide was excellent and spoke good English. Borobudur itself is magnificent; one can imagine its splendor during its heyday. There is also a Borobudur museum in the park with English explanations, which is worth a visit. It's a must-see destination when visiting Yogyakarta.

Insgesamt eine reibungslose und schöne Reise.

This tour (like the Prambanan Sunset Tour) also includes transportation to and from the sunrise point and Borobudur, as well as the entrance fees. You'll need to pay an additional 80,000 Rupiah for the special access ticket to go up to Borobudur and have a guide explain the architecture to you. For this tour, I felt the arrangement was worth it because it's not easy to arrange your own transport at 3 AM to make it for sunrise. Moreover, I had a really good driver, Nicko, who spoke very well and made sure I was all set up for sunrise. He also made sure to secure my special access ticket early so I wouldn't have to wait for the next session, which would be much later in the day. Just a note: to secure those tickets, you won't be able to wait for the entire sunrise to complete.
