This hot spring has excellent, slippery-smooth water quality. There are four baths: lukewarm, normal, hot, and a cold plunge, along with a dry sauna, a steam salt sauna, and a waterfall shower. You enter nude. Photography is prohibited in the bathing area, but bringing your smartphone is allowed, so it might be a good idea to put it in a waterproof case and enjoy a leisurely soak. When you arrive at Wulai Main Station (the bus terminal), if you call them, they will come to pick you up. Just say "shuttle bus, please" and they should understand. The coupon includes a drink ticket, so after your bath, you can enjoy your favorite drink with toast at the cafe on the lower floor.

I visited on a weekday afternoon. After getting off the bus from Taipei Station, I walked for about 15 minutes down a road that made me wonder, "Am I really on the right path???" The signs were completely unmaintained, so I suspected it might already be abandoned, but the interior was generally clean. When I entered the bathing area, it was quite crowded, and it felt like everyone was staying for half a day. Most of the numerous deck chairs were reserved with towels and rarely became available. The most important part, the hot spring water, was very good, and I particularly enjoyed the jet bath with lukewarm water. The open-air bath was a bit hotter. It seems like it would be even more crowded on weekends, so I might aim for a weekday again next time.

The hot spring environment is beautiful, and the facilities are complete. After visiting once, I would want to go a second time. It offers great value for money and is a place worth revisiting.

The semi-open-air hot spring room is fantastic. The hot spring pool has a roof, and outside the pool, it's open-air, offering views of the stream, waterfall, and mountain scenery. During your hot spring break, you can enjoy the river and waterfall while breathing in the fresh, natural air. Highly recommended!

The parking lot is large and convenient. This time, we used a private hot spring room, and the environment was quite good. There were even monkeys on the opposite mountain watching us. However, the complimentary drinks and meals were practically non-existent.

The water temperature is perfect, and they even give you a 10-minute buffer. The semi-open-air private hot spring room is great, and the staff are very nice.

One of the highlights of my Taiwan trip was visiting Wulai. It’s a beautiful spot and perfect for anyone looking for a quick escape from city life. The hot spring experience was especially memorable, as it was my first time trying an onsen. The facilities were excellent, and it was nice to see locals in the bathhouse who seemed to already know each other, it gave the place a warm, community feel. Although none of the staff were proficient in English, they still made sure I was well taken care of. What made the experience even better was the free meal after the bath and the complimentary shuttle back to the town proper. Overall, it was a relaxing and worthwhile experience, and I would definitely come back on my next visit to Taiwan.

I love hot springs! From Taipei Main Station, take bus 849 to Wulai Bus Terminal. Google Maps says it's about a 16-minute walk from there, but we arrived late, so we took a taxi from the Wulai Terminal. When taking a taxi, it's better to say "Ming Tang Hot Spring?" rather than the English name of the hot spring, as that's how they understood where to go. It turns out there's also a shuttle service from the hot spring, but we didn't know how to use it, so we only took it when we left. The staff are friendly and nice, but be aware that you might be visible from outside when using the hot spring.

There's a shuttle bus to the hotel that comes every 30 minutes. Nice music and ambiance. You have to fill the tub yourself with the cold and hot water knob to adjust to your own liking. They also give a voucher to redeem a complimentary drink and toast to wind down.
