The moment I stepped onto the Naruto Whirlpools' Uzunomichi Walkway, my heart was filled with anticipation. This walkway, built beneath the piers of the Onaruto Bridge, offers a unique vantage point to overlook the world-famous Naruto Whirlpools, making the journey not just sightseeing, but more like a close encounter with the forces of nature. As I walked along the path, transparent reinforced glass lay beneath my feet, allowing me to look down and see the turbulent currents rushing below. When the tides changed and the whirlpools gradually formed, the swirling, churning power was breathtaking. Standing before the viewing windows, watching the immense eddies created by the topography and tidal differences, I couldn't help but marvel at the mystery and unpredictability of nature. These whirlpools, sometimes grand, sometimes intricate, were different every moment, captivating my gaze. During this visit, I specifically chose a time close to the optimal viewing period for the whirlpools. When the whirlpools reached their strongest, the entire sea surface seemed to churn and boil, and the sound of the rushing water echoed through the bridge structure, resonating deep within my heart. That dual impact of sight and sound was far more unforgettable than any photo or video, and it made me deeply appreciate the value of experiencing it firsthand.
I purchased the tickets on the day of entry, and it was very easy to use; I just showed the QR code on the voucher to the staff at the entrance. I recommend this method as it's more affordable than buying at the counter. We also got a perfect view of the Naruto whirlpools, making it a fun memory!
You can experience the awe-inspiring power of nature by looking down from the "Uzu-no-Michi" (Whirlpool Walkway). The view is spectacular and expansive, especially during spring tides when you can witness mysterious and magnificent whirlpools, possibly 10-20 meters in diameter, resembling flowers of the sea. It's an unforgettable natural wonder that leaves you marveling at nature's power and beauty. It's an extremely shocking and breathtaking sight, often described as nature's masterpiece, mysterious flowers blooming in the sea. You can feel the powerful currents up close or look down from above through the glass floor, experiencing a thrilling and spectacular scene. Overall, it's an unforgettable, must-visit natural wonder. Experience and Feelings: Shocking and Spectacular: Witnessing whirlpools form and spin right before your eyes, feeling the immense power of the ocean, is completely different from what you learn in textbooks and is incredibly impactful. Mysterious and Beautiful: The whirlpools are likened to "flowers of the sea," blooming on the ocean surface, possessing a mysterious and magnificent beauty. Thrilling and Novel: Looking down from a height of 45 meters through the glass floor of the "Uzu-no-Michi," with swirling whirlpools directly beneath your feet, creates a thrilling sensation of being drawn in. Unique: Viewing the whirlpools from the bridge, from a boat, and from different angles offers completely distinct experiences. It combines a natural wonder with magnificent bridge architecture, making for a truly unique experience. Uzu-no-Michi (Aerial View): Feeling: Looking down from approximately 45 meters high, the view is expansive, allowing you to take in the entire strait and bridge. There are reinforced glass viewing windows that let you directly feel the surging whirlpools beneath your feet, making it very safe and exhilarating. Advantages: You can see the entire process of whirlpools forming from nothing, growing large, and then diminishing. Recommendation: Since it was visited in winter, it was windy, so it's advisable to dress warmly. Currently, there is construction outside with scaffolding, which might affect some viewing areas, but most of the view remains unaffected, only a small portion. It happened to be during the Japanese New Year, so there were many visitors. It's best not to drive to the parking lot as spaces are limited, and arriving later means no parking and traffic jams. It's recommended to first park at the art museum parking lot, then take the art museum shuttle bus to visit the museum. After visiting, proceed to Uzu-no-Michi. Check the high tide times before entering to increase your chances of seeing larger whirlpools. I took the 97 Naruto Park Line bus from JR Naruto Station, costing 390 yen, and returned to JR Naruto Station on the same 97 Naruto Park Line bus, also 390 yen. If you are traveling independently, be aware that buses run approximately once an hour. To return to JR Naruto Station and head towards Tokushima City or Takamatsu City (you need to transfer at JR Ikenotani Station and cross the elevated bridge to the other platform for Takamatsu City), note that JR trains from JR Naruto Station are infrequent, so it's best to check the schedule beforehand to avoid long waits.

This is a place that makes effective use of the space under a high-speed bridge. The prices are reasonable, and it's definitely worth a visit. We recommend going early as the parking lot can get crowded, but since the whirlpools might not be visible at certain times, please check online beforehand.
Easy to use, saving time queuing for tickets. The staff were very friendly when scanning, and there were no language issues! I even received a Naruto Bridge postcard as a gift at the EDDY Memorial Hall, which was very memorable!
Convenience of booking with Klook: While you can buy tickets directly on-site, scanning with Klook is faster and eliminates communication barriers. Also, you must visit during high tide to have a chance to see the swirling whirlpools!
This activity, purchased in advance on Klook, is convenient and affordable, definitely worth checking out. Also, it was very windy and a bit cold on the day I visited last week, so remember to bring a hat or a windbreaker!
No need to exchange tickets, the QR code itself is the ticket, which is very convenient. Walking under the bridge is very special, and I personally feel it's better than being on a boat to observe the impact of the eddies.
Choosing to purchase an e-ticket on Klook beforehand speeds up the ticketing process, allowing for easy entry on the specified date. It's convenient, fast, and highly recommended.
