I'm writing this because I'm worried there might be people hesitating to buy due to the lack of reviews. I'm writing from the perspective of someone who has a decent grasp of Japanese. Most people will likely take a ferry from Takamatsu Port. If you take the 9 AM ferry to Tōshōno Port, you'll arrive around 10 AM. Upon arrival, the building on the left is the tourist information center. At the ticket office behind the tourist information center (opposite the port), you show your voucher and exchange it for seats and admission tickets. There's a bus right behind the ticket office. Taking that bus marks the start of your tour. The guide will show you signs with warnings in Korean, so there's no need to be afraid of the monkeys. Here's an explanation of the course: 1. Monkey Village. Shodoshima has a place called Monkey Country. You go up with the people. The monkeys usually don't bother you first. At the very top, you can experience feeding them for 100 yen. It might be a bit uncomfortable having to walk among the monkeys, but they really don't bother people. 2. Ropeway. You stop at Kankakei where you can take the ropeway, have lunch, and then ride the ropeway (optional, 1300 yen). Those who don't ride the ropeway will depart at 12:40 PM, and those who do ride it will come down around 12:56 PM. 3. Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village. 4. Ichitokuan (一徳庵). You can buy various seasonings like soy sauce here (a common shopping stop on tourist routes). 5. Olive Park. This is a filming location for the live-action version of Kiki's Delivery Service. You get off the bus in front of the park and can borrow a broom from the building right in front. Borrow one and take photos at the windmill. Here's an overall review: A very friendly guide will lead you, in Japanese. The tour mainly introduces history and famous spots. You can download a Korean-language support app at the ticket office. It's not a big deal if you don't listen to it. Just clap along so it's not awkward. Since it's a bus tour, I'm very satisfied with everything except the fixed schedule. When we left Olive Park, they even gave us Olive Park postcards as gifts. It was a very satisfying itinerary. I recommend it! Other sites might include Angel Road. Choose according to your preference.

Our ferry to the island got delayed due to fog. When we arrived, there was a small bus waiting for us for those who missed the meeting time. They then transported us to the monkey village where we met the tour group. It was well organized, we didn’t have to explain. Just make sure you put a note on where you will be a day before the tour so they know. The driver and the tour guide were very courteous and took good care of us. I would highly recommend this day tour.

I was able to use it conveniently even though I don't speak Japanese. It was great to be able to travel around Shodoshima comfortably. I went on a cold day, but since we traveled in a private car, I was able to get around warmly. The guide was also very kind, which made the trip even more enjoyable!

Even though the tour guide didn't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, they still explained everything diligently and provided assistance. The itinerary was well-planned, ensuring a great experience for everyone in the group.

Visitors arriving from Okayama by ferry should head left after disembarking to the Tourist Information Center to catch their bus. Please exchange your ticket at the service counter first. There are lockers available here for luggage storage.

It was a very pleasant trip. Although I don't understand Japanese, I could feel the tour guide's dedication. She clearly informed us of the location and meeting time for each stop. The driver was also very attentive, sanitizing everyone's hands as they boarded the bus each time. The service provided a wonderful experience. I accidentally left my scarf on the bus, and to my surprise, the tour guide knew which yacht we were taking and quickly handed it to me before we boarded. I am truly grateful.

With the JR Pass, you can take the ferry to Shodoshima's Tonosho Port for free. Upon arrival, you can exchange your voucher for a tour bus ticket. You'll receive a travel brochure in Chinese, English, and Japanese, along with an identification pass. The tour guide was very dedicated and explained everything from start to finish, but unfortunately, I couldn't understand Japanese, haha. The timing for each attraction was very appropriate, making the tour leisurely and not too rushed or too long.

An absolute must-choose! The Japanese tour leader was meticulous and responsible, even singing a song, making us feel completely at home!
