My wife and I decided to rent hanboks during our trip to Seoul, and it was such a fun experience! We chose a vibrant, traditional design and felt like we had stepped back in time. Wandering through Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbokgung Palace in our hanboks was amazing. The best part? We got free entry to the palaces! It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in Korean culture and take some beautiful photos.

The shop is conveniently located near Gyeongbokgung train station. There's also a Life4Cut right next to the shop, making it a great spot to take more photos in hanbok! It closes at 7 PM, so you'll need to return before then. Simple hairstyling and a handbag are included, which is very convenient! There are many designs to choose from, so it might take a while to decide which one to get!

Best experience ever!! The staff were very helpful and friendly. At first, I had a hard time finding the store because it only had a small sign outside but it turns out, you have to take the small stairs to the 3rd floor. The place was huge with lots of hanboks to choose from. They also had lockers to store our clothes and belongings. I rented an additional petticoat for 2,000 KRW, which made my hanbok look even better!! Soo Worth it. Will definitely come back here in gigibebe again.

The store is conveniently located next to Gyeongbokgung Palace, less than a 5-minute walk from the gate. I reserved a slot from 9 am to 10 am on Monday, arrived at the store around 9:30 am, and it was already busy. You can choose between 3 types of hanbok: the cheapest is the traditional one (mostly bright colors), then there's the special one (with organza and embroidery), and the most expensive is the ombré one with several layers of organza. They have different sizes available, but they charge an extra 5,000 won for additional fitting if the first choice didn't fit or if you didn't like it. In terms of length, the options they had were mostly for ladies up to 170 cm in height. I am 181 cm tall, and even without the petticoat, the Hanbok skirt only reached my ankles. But I guess if you're not that tall, the length shouldn't be an issue for you. They also have a huge variety of colors and patterns. Additionally, the hairstyle is free if you choose plain braids and a simple band. If you want hair accessories and a more elaborate hairstyle, there will be an extra charge of 3,000 won. I rented the hanbok for 2 hours, and it was enough to take nice photos. If you wish to participate in guided tours or spend more time at the palace, it's better to rent for a longer period. Also, if you return the hanbok too late, there's an extra charge. The store assistants are very nice, and they really helped me pick the sizes and did a very nice hairstyle; I opted for the one with extra accessories. Size-wise, I had to go for a 2XL for the shirt, mostly because of the length, even though I normally wear European size S (36). So, ask the store assistants for the size before you try it on to avoid extra charges. The skirt is free size, so the only issue I had was the length. You can also choose one small handbag with embroidery for free, and they provide lockers for your belongings. Overall, it was a very good experience. And as a bonus, entrance to the Palace is free if you wear hanbok.

Visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace dressed in hanbok truly enhances the magic of the moment. You really get into the spirit, and the magic unfolds very naturally. The service at GIGIBEBE was perfect: fast, simple, and the ability to choose how long you keep the hanbok is a definite plus.

It was very easy to redeem, and this specific Gigi Bebe hanbok rental had many beautiful, high-quality designs. However, the only problem we encountered was that it was on the third floor without an elevator, and we were with our elderly grandmother who struggled a bit with the staircase. They also offer many different types of accessories for an extra charge.

The staff at this rental place was very helpful; they assisted us in choosing the best outfit and allowed us to try on multiple options. Wearing a Hanbok grants you free entry to the palaces, however, it is not advisable to wear it during winter and summer.

Rent a hanbok from Gigibebe. The shop is exactly as pinned on Naver Map, located on the second floor. I recommend going around 9 AM when the shop opens; there will be fewer people and it won't be chaotic. They have a wide selection of hanboks, and the staff are very nice. Choose the special hanbok for more beautiful patterns and colors than the regular ones. Hair styling/beautiful hair accessories are available for 3000 won. Men's hats are 2000 won. Women's handbags are free. Lockers are provided for your belongings. It's just a short walk out of the alley to the road along the palace, not far from the subway. I was impressed; the hanboks are beautiful. It rained, so I brought my own umbrella. My hanbok got a little wet, but the shop didn't mind.

There are two locations for their rental shop. I suggest going to the shop located on the ground floor as it is more convenient and less crowded (the upstairs shop will show you the current situation of their ground-floor shop on CCTV). The staff are very accommodating and will assist you throughout the entire process. The palace is also very close to their shop! Try their costume hanbok and immerse yourself more in their history! 🇰🇷
