The team was incredibly helpful, and the additional KRW5000 for the premium hairstyles was definitely worth it. The store was quite a distance from Gwanghwamun, but we decided to take photos around Bukchon Hanok Village instead, and it was a wonderful experience! Don't forget to claim your free printed photo!

Choosing Dorothy Hanbok was the best choice we made on this trip. The owner of the shop was very, very nice and very attentive. She was very considerate of the designs and hair style that I want. I was also able to pick which hairpins and ornaments I can use. As for the quality of the hanbok, the designs were so good and the quality of the hanboks were good, no signs of wear and tear. They also provided a petticoat inside to give more volume to the hanbok. Out of curiosity, I found one more shop just outside the palace grounds, but the price was triple if not more than what I paid for, yet the quality was not that good.

We recently visited Dorothy’s hanbok rental shop and had a fantastic experience. The place was very clean, which made browsing through the beautiful hanboks feel comfortable and enjoyable. They were exceptionally friendly, they were extremely helpful in assisting us to select the right style and fit. Their guidance made the process smooth and stress-free. Overall, I highly recommend this hanbok rental for anyone looking for a pleasant and convenient experience.

We felt very special during our visit in their shop because it is less crowded compared to other stores 🥹🫶 Especially thanks to their staff who lend us a tripod and congratulate us on our wedding engagement. Overall, it was a great experience. The nanny and the young lady were very helpful. The only thing is that this shop is far from Gyeongbokgung Train Station; you should exit from another train station. Three hours for Gyeongbokgung and Bukchon Hanok Village might be a bit tight if you love history, photos, and video shooting.

We were scheduled for May 1st, but it was raining, so upon arriving at the shop, there was a sign to email them for rescheduling. We rescheduled for May 7th, but Gyeongbokgung Palace was closed, I don't know why. 😞 Anyway, we still went to the Palace and were able to take a lot of photos outside and visited Bukchon Hanok Village. Their shop has many Hanbok options to choose from.

We chose the skirt color we wanted, and the two ladies in the shop provided us with a matching white top. They were also very skilled and efficient in styling our hair. A bag was also included in our package, which was a really nice touch. It's a small shop, but the service is friendly and excellent. We will definitely use them again in the future.

We chose the Theme Hanbok for 2,700 yen from three types: Traditional, Theme, and Premium, with prices ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 yen. I expected it to take a long time to choose, but once I picked the skirt, the staff selected the top, so it only took about 5 minutes to decide. Since there are only two staff members, they efficiently handled choosing the top, assisting with changing, and styling hair. However, if it's crowded, you might have to wait, so it might be best to go first thing in the morning or after 12 PM when it's quieter. If you want a beautiful lace hanbok, I recommend the Theme type; if you prefer a simple hanbok, I recommend the Traditional type. An older group was wearing Traditional Hanbok, and they looked lovely, so if I were to do it a second time, I think I'd choose Traditional. My father paid an additional 10,000 won (about 1,000 yen) and was able to transform into a king. Even if you don't choose Premium from the start, you can upgrade by paying an additional fee on-site, so booking a cheaper plan might be a good idea.

We were allowed more than 3 hours for the rental. After taking pictures with the hanbok, we returned it. Haley said we had a free photo to be printed. Highly recommended.
