This was one of the best experiences I had during my trip to Tokyo. I booked the lunch course through Klook, and when I arrived on time, they guided me to my seat under my name. (The subway isn't very close, so I took a taxi.) There are 10 seats at the bar, and my companion and I were able to sit at the bar, which is what I wanted! However, the other 8 people, excluding us, had a different course that included an additional sashimi appetizer menu, so the dishes served were slightly different. (It seems that the other course is available on the Sushi Shin website but cannot be booked through Klook.) The lunch sushi course we booked was a concise course consisting of 10 pieces of sushi, finished with castella and miso soup. Since it was served over approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, it was a sufficient amount for our lunch. However, since no noodle dishes or tempura are provided in addition to sushi, those with larger appetites might find it a bit lacking. When we visited, there was a staff member who spoke Korean well. I was grateful that they told us what kind of sushi it was when it was delicious but I didn't know. I haven't tried omakase in Korea, so I can't compare it in terms of price, but each piece was incredibly thoughtful and excellent. The overall atmosphere, including the quiet yet unpretentiously kind staff and the system by which the establishment operates, was so good that I think it was the most healing moment during my busy Tokyo trip. I don't know if writing a detailed review will help the restaurant, but if it weren't for a platform like Klook, I, who can't speak Japanese, wouldn't have been able to book this place. Perhaps it might have been a difficult decision for the establishment to open platform reservations to foreigners. But thanks to that, we had a truly wonderful experience. If I go to Tokyo again, I'd like to try the sashimi appetizer course. I believe that everyone who reads this review will enjoy this place in accordance with its atmosphere and culture, and I highly recommend it. Thank you. (Only 6 photos can be uploaded, so I'm attaching only 6.)
The craftsmanship is superb; each piece of nigiri sushi offers an unexpected texture or flavor upon tasting. Simply amazing!
A fantastic experience! You can book directly through Klook, otherwise, high-end sushi restaurants usually require hotel reservations. Watching the handsome chef's professional knife skills while eating, and the meticulous preparation of exquisite dishes, is a feast for both the eyes and the palate!
La comida es realmente buena. El chef dedicó su vida a mejorar.
非常棒的午餐Omakase,食材新鲜,准备充分,再加上餐厅宁静的环境和所有尽职尽责的厨师。
All the staff were very kind, and the food was delicious. The space was also great. It was a very good experience.
This restaurant is situated in a quiet neighborhood. We had a 12 PM booking and arrived on time. The food was of high quality; I reserved the 12-piece sushi lunch. The master chef was very nice and professional, and every single piece of sushi seemed like a masterpiece. He also told us the name of each piece of sushi (in English). We were full at the end.
Located in an upscale residential area, the environment is very quiet and comfortable. Every piece of sushi and sashimi is delicious, and the chef prepares them with great care. It's definitely worth trying.
There was a person in the restaurant chatting with the chef, which made others who couldn't speak Japanese feel quite awkward. They didn't know they could order extra items. We also really wanted to try the additional items outside of the set meal. It's a bit of a shame.
We ate in our room, which was a shame as we couldn't sit at the counter. However, the kind Korean staff member explained everything in detail, and the food was excellent.
