El mejor lugar para hacer snorkel sería cerca del restaurante/cafetería donde están las rocas. Fuimos a Nudey Beach; la arena era de coral, así que lleva escarpines. Incluso al hacer snorkel, es mejor usar escarpines. Había muchos visitantes el día que fuimos. Hacía viento pero estaba soleado. Hicimos la cumbre primero antes de hacer snorkel. Nos llevó 2 horas de ida y vuelta con paradas. Disfruté Fitzroy por la caminata. La playa y el snorkel están bien.

arrived at reef terminal and went to the booth closest to the souvenir shop/toilet, had to show boarding pass so best to check email and download before going down as showing the klook voucher was not sufficient, ferry ride was comfortable, did not get seasick at all :) fitzroy island was as described, did a 2h 15 min short hike around 4.9km and then went to nudey beach thereafter

The highlight for me was definitely Nudey Beach. The weather was perfect, the water was very clear, and the beach was isolated and clean. I didn't snorkel, which was popular there, but the views while hiking were also beautiful.

great organized trip, arrive early to get a good seat, beautiful island and great nature - return is possible at 2 or 4 pm

The island is great, but I think the facilities on the island could be better; there's a lack of washing rooms. Additionally, since there are different types of groups on the same boat, the instructions should be clearer. The glass-bottom boat tour is great.

The weather was perfect, and for the price, the environment was wonderful. We were lucky enough to encounter turtles while snorkeling, and the children were thrilled. Although you have to walk a short distance along a mountain path, Nudey Beach was incredibly beautiful and became a memorable place. Above all, the fact that there were few people and it didn't feel crowded in such an environment was perhaps the best part. If I had to point out a negative, it would be that there didn't seem to be any lifeguards, so if there were any issues with snorkeling equipment, it might be a bit dangerous for children. However, overall, it was excellent. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to participate again.

The staff were very polite, the boarding instructions were clear, and the rented snorkeling equipment was also very clean. The water around the island was very clear, but January is the rainy season in Cairns, so the weather was overcast with light rain, and the water visibility was not as good as usual. The island has basic shower facilities and restrooms. For travelers who don't have enough time to visit the Great Barrier Reef, this island is a good choice.

Fitzroy Island was beautiful! Very scenic and tranquil. The ferry tickets were easy to use, with clear instructions sent to your email 3-4 days before your actual departure date. However, please note that facilities on Fitzroy Island are limited… There are only 3 toilets next to Foxy’s Cafe, and visitors are not allowed to use the facilities at Fitzroy Island Resort… Remember to bring sunscreen and picnic mats! If you can snorkel, small fish can always be seen near the shoreline.

Un must absolu lorsque vous venez à Cairns. Une île si belle, promenez-vous jusqu'à Nudey Beach (non, ce n'est pas une plage naturiste 😂), c'est absolument magnifique. Soyez juste prudent en marchant jusqu'à la plage, c'est très rocheux et il y a beaucoup de montées et de descentes sur les rochers pour y arriver 😊
