Momento uau, sinceramente!!
We learned so much about Sake and the way it is made, we had lots of interesting facts, our guide was super helpful, we even met another interesting couple and went out for more drinks later, fully recommend
Kiyomi was our guide and she was the best tour guide ever. The charts and explanations were amazing and we walked away with so much knowledge of sake. This tour is a must if you want to learn about the history of sake and the different kinds.
The tour had throughly introduced the processes of making Sake, explained what's the difference between different type of Sake. This make a person like me who had no experience with Sake found interesting. The instructor, Miyuki had been patient and helpful within the whole tour. Will 100% come back for the advance tour if we are coming back to Koyoto.
excellent for beginners ! greg and kiyomi are our hosts and they are very patient in explaining all the details of sake brewing during ancient times and even gave us tips on how to order/buy sake as it can be intimadating for foreigners , would definetly recommend this to anyone interested in sake making process!
Absolutely brilliant tour. Informative and fun. Both our guides were passionate, spoke fluent English. Sake was great and the food pairings were delicious. Would highly recommend this tour. One of our favourite days in Japan.
The tour was informative and fun. Greg was a great guide and my husband and I cannot wait to go back in the fall for the advanced sake tasting! I love that we also got a sake cup to keep.
Sake Brewery tour w/ Mayo (pronounced mai-yo) and the Sake Tasting was one of the BEST EXPERIENCES we had during our 2 week trip to Japan. Mayo is an INCREDIBLE Sake Sommelier! She truly enjoys sharing about sake and it comes across in how FUN she makes the tour. During the brewery tour and tasting we thought we learned what type of sake we enjoyed. However, after the full Sake tasting and food pairings at the tasting room, Mayo expanded our pallete to show us that all of the different types of sake (filterered, unfiltered, junmai, daijo etc.), have their place. Also, the sake tasting portions at the tasting room were very generous in comparison to the brewery tour. If you enjoy food and sake, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this TOUR =D
i cant believe how much we learnt about Sake, it was so fascinating. Our guide was so much fun and knowledgeable, even though we were a small group we hd fun, I really recommend it.
Our group of 4 had SO much fun learning about sake (actually, nihonshu) with our guide, Momo. It was fascinating to learn about where nihonshu is brewed and why, types of rice, rice polishing and the brewing / fermentation process. We learned how to read some Japanese on sake bottles and it was a blast doing the taste testing after all we learned (without and with food to understand how the types of nihonshu can change. 11/10 would recommend if you’re down to learn and figure out the types of sake you’re into.
