In the past, tours to Mount Hakodate always involved taking the ropeway to the summit. This was my first time taking a sightseeing bus, and along the way, I could see other buildings, such as the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses. It was very convenient that I had already chosen to meet and disband at bus stop 12 at Hakodate Station when I registered. The bus arrived at Mount Hakodate, offering a view of the expansive Hakodate Bay. All tourists seized the opportunity to take commemorative photos. The weather that evening was a bit cold but not too windy. Participating in this sightseeing bus tour to see Mount Hakodate, one of Japan's three great night views, is a must-do activity for tourists. Unfortunately, we could only stay for about 30 minutes before having to return.
Value for money experience. Even though the tour is in Japanese, the guide, knowing there are foreign tourists, will add a few sentences in English for the key main points, which is sufficient for me.
Although the entire tour was explained in Japanese, you could feel the guide's enthusiasm. The itinerary was very compact, and the guide almost always followed closely, providing thoughtful care and ensuring no one got separated from the group. For Mount Hakodate, the guide first took us to a less crowded spot for viewing and photos before heading to the more popular, crowded area, which felt great.
Glad that I took this tour. My family enjoyed the experience even though we didn’t understand Japanese, the language used by the tour leader to explain the history of the place. The tour leader was very kind and experienced with the route. We noticed that she was able to get us to the priority line. At the end of the tour we were dropped by the Red Brick Warehouse area where we can explore the local delicacy. I recommend this tour for those who visit Hakodate.
¡Definitivamente hay que unirse al tour! ¡Vale muchísimo la pena! ¡Me encanta!
It was a trip that made the whole family happy. Our 8-year-old had a blast, and we made many new family memories. I highly recommend this itinerary.
The tour guide was a local Japanese, and the service was excellent! They introduced many fun local spots, and the night view was truly beautiful! The all-Japanese service throughout the city was fantastic!
Although you can go by public transport, we recommend taking a tour bus. It's much safer and more comfortable. There are two beautiful spots before reaching the summit, and the guide will explain them, but since it's only in Japanese, you'll have to try to understand by context. Also, the mountain path is very dangerous, so they ask you to turn off your flash when taking photos with your phone; it's good to be prepared for this in advance. It's truly beautiful if the weather is good.
Klook voucher exchange is very easy, just show the booking email to the tour guide and you will be able to get the bus sticker. There isn't any English translation throughout the whole trip, it would be good if there could be some English translation so that we can understand a bit more. The trip was quite short, we reached the peak at about 8:30 PM and had to get onto the bus at 9:00 PM. If possible, get a seat on the right-hand side so that you can see part of the night view along the way.
Since I was traveling with my parents, I had to minimize walking and travel time. In that sense, I thought this tour was an excellent choice. Even my parents, who don't speak Japanese, were deeply impressed by the guide's passionate and entertaining explanations, and they kept talking about how much fun they had. With no waiting time and a pick-up/drop-off at Hakodate Station, investing just over an hour to create beautiful night views and memories felt like the best possible decision.
