Passeio pelos Jardins Botânicos de Christchurch

The tour guide Penny was very friendly and shared a lot about the gardens and flora but I think because I visited in August, there just wasn't much to see. Maybe in spring or summer it would be more beautiful. I happened to be the only one taking the tour that time at 11am so I felt like a VIP. If you're not constrained on time, just roam the gardens leisurely and really enjoy it. Otherwise, taking the vehicle around the gardens is the quickest way to see most of it.

We read about the Botanical Gardens through NZTT (Facebook) and they recommended using Klook, and I'm so glad I did. What a super place to visit. So much to see. We booked a caterpillar tour which was 10/10 😊

Friendly and knowledgeable guide. The tour is a good way to get oriented and an overall sense of the garden and where things are, but if you have time then of course is it worth walking around on foot afterward. For me the highlights were the rose garden, the peace bell, the magnetic observatory, the heritage rose garden, and a beautiful and touching work of art near the heritage rose garden called Flora and Otto consisting of an armchair and an ottoman that have been decorated with mosaic tiles formed from broken china/teasets after the earthquakes.

The guide was professional and passionate. You will learn more about the garden than if you were just looking around by yourself.

I booked the tour for my parents, who are in their mid-seventies, so they could get around easily as their mobility was slightly limited. They found it informative and felt they saw plenty of the gardens.

What a beautiful garden experience on the little train around the Botanical Gardens of Christchurch! We arrived an hour earlier than booked and were allowed to board the little train as there was plenty of room. Our guide, Chrissy, was very knowledgeable and her commentary was a joy to listen to. Though many of the flowers had finished, there was still much to admire, especially in the rose garden, where Chrissy let us out for a short wander. Many of the trees were a real delight to the eye...such grandeur! The sights and scents as we drove around the gardens for around 45 minutes made this a wonderful experience. Thank you, Chrissy!

We had a one-hour riding tour of the gardens. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

Convenient and fast, just scan the voucher. The tour guide was attentive, like chatting with friends. We were five minutes late due to parking, but she still waited for us before departing. Excellent, a great experience!

This botanical garden is very large. You can ride the small train around the garden. The train driver was very informative.
