It was a great experience, my first time scuba diving. I was a bit worried at first, but with the instructor's careful guidance and care, there were no problems at all, and it was a lot of fun! There's a free parking lot near the meeting point, so parking is convenient. The staff at the reception speak English and Mandarin, so communication is not an issue. You don't need to bring an underwater camera; you can rent one. A camera with an SD card costs 3000 JPY per session. They constantly help take photos and videos throughout the whole process, and you get the SD card after you're done. In the water, the instructor leads the dive the entire time, very professional. I'll definitely come back again if I have the chance!
Due to the rough waves, we were unable to enter the Blue Cave and could only go to a beach near Onna Village. We hope to have the opportunity to visit the Blue Cave next time. It was our first time diving, so we were inevitably nervous, but the instructor patiently taught us how to breathe with an oxygen tank. However, because the breathing instruction took some time, the actual time spent diving in the sea was not very long. The entire trip was 1 hour (including instruction + diving).
The weather was great that day, with a very blue sky and a very blue cave. Although the guide didn't speak Chinese, they tried very hard to explain things to us with gestures and were very patient. I highly recommend bringing a memory card; they provide a waterproof camera. You can take many beautiful photos of fish and people. There's also a shower area, but you need to bring your own shower gel and other toiletries. Overall, it was a very good experience.
The diving services were truly excellent. The overall diving experience was really enjoyable, and the assistant was very helpful.
Overall, it was a nice experience! The Blue Cave wasn't as pretty as I've seen in the photos from other reviews (but it was probably too sunny and hard to see, haha). Still, it was a nice trip, and I'm glad I went! XD
We booked a morning session around 8 AM and would recommend arriving early, as we were late and the introduction felt too short. We traveled to the dive spot by boat. The guide was pleasant. The facility provided hot water for showers and a changing room, and was well-equipped. The diving time itself was a bit short, around 20-30 minutes. I would love to go diving again!
It was drizzling before the trip, but it didn't affect our plans. We gathered at the designated spot half an hour beforehand. You can rent a GoPro for 3500 JPY (including a memory card); videos look better than photos. Although our instructor this time was Japanese, there was a Chinese-speaking instructor on-site, which I recommend to everyone.
A great diving experience, very suitable for beginners. The dive shop has staff who speak Chinese and translated for us. We purchased a package that included a GoPro camera, and the instructor continuously took photos and videos for us underwater, which was a fantastic experience. However, the time was a bit short.
If you go to Okinawa, this is an experience you absolutely must have. The fish swimming right before your eyes, the clear seawater, and the blue ocean created a spectacular view that was truly moving.
Due to weather conditions, we were unable to go to the Blue Grotto. We were notified via email and Line that the snorkeling location would be changed to another sea area. We hope to visit the Blue Grotto next time. The shop will provide diving equipment. Recommended items to bring: 1. Slippers (if you don't bring them, the ones on-site are very expensive and uncomfortable). 2. Swimsuit (to wear underneath). 3. SD card. 4. It's recommended not to bring your own camera; rent one on-site, as instructors won't take photos with personal cameras. 5. Although the schedule changed due to the weather this time, overall, it was still a very enjoyable experience.
