Our guide Alice was amazing, she was very knowledgeable about the gardens. She called us the day before to make sure we knew where to meet, and she will also email you to confirm the time. If you can, call or email her to confirm who you are meeting, as we almost missed the tour because we couldn't find her. The gardens were beautiful, even though it was raining and at dusk. There were a lot of people, but the guide took us to less crowded places. The tea service was stunning, and she gave us a wide variety of teas to taste; the little snack that came with it was a perfect combination. Just be aware that the tea is quite expensive to buy.

Our tour guide, Christopher, was very knowledgeable, professional, and responsible. He provided us with very insightful details about the Yu Garden. It's good to have a guide for Yu Garden so we can learn about the history of the place. We also loved the tea ceremony where we got to taste 4-5 types of tea. I would recommend going for the 3 or 4 PM tour so that you can stay to see the Yu Garden light up at night.

Christopher was an amazing guide who made the tour so interesting and interactive!! He will tell you stories behind every nook and cranny of Yu garden.

The entire tour was very interesting and informative. Christopher was able to find us even though we were struggling with our internet when meeting up. Christopher was very engaging and knowledgeable, answering all our questions in a way that was easy for us to understand. The tea ceremony was also an educational experience in itself. Christopher went above and beyond the tour, even helping us get our own Chinese SIM by taking us to the place where you can get them and even showed us his local favorite place to get pan-fried dumplings. I recommend this tour, and if you can, ask for Christopher to be your guide.
