Cairns Southern Hemisphere Stars Half-Day Natural Wonders Tour

We joined the stargazing tour and really enjoyed it. Stargazing depends a lot on luck and weather, so we were very grateful that the conditions were good on the night we went. The experience felt really special because it was so dark at the location that we could only see the silhouettes of the trees, with the distant brightness coming from Cairns city. Lying on a picnic mat under the open sky and looking up at what felt like countless stars was such a peaceful and unforgettable moment. Our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable, which made the tour even better. He shared useful tips on how to take photos of the stars, lent us his binoculars, and pointed out different stars and constellations, especially Scorpio. He also showed us the Milky Way, which was amazing to see. It was a very meaningful experience and something different from the usual sightseeing activities in Cairns. I recommend it if you enjoy nature, quiet moments, and learning more about the night sky.

Our tour was originally scheduled for the evening of the 16th. However, because the weather forecast showed frequent showers and poor conditions for stargazing, the tour company contacted us and kindly offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule. Fortunately, since we were not checking out until the 18th and really didn’t want to miss this experience, we decided to reschedule the tour. To get straight to the point, I highly recommend this tour! Our driver and guide was Japanese, spoke excellent English, and was very friendly and witty. He made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. He also helped us with the best camera settings for photographing the night sky and even took some amazing photos of us under the stars — definitely some of the best photos from our trip! We really appreciated the company giving us the flexibility to reschedule because of the weather. If you are visiting Cairns and have the chance to join this stargazing tour, don’t miss it!

The guide can communicate in both Japanese and English. The drive to and from the location is approximately one hour each way, with one hour allocated for photography. The starry night is very beautiful. The guide will pick you up at your hotel, then drive for about 1 hour to the spot, followed by approximately 1 hour for photos.

I booked this stargazing tour after a friend recommended it. It was so easy because they picked me up by car near my hotel. And I was incredibly moved by how beautiful the starry sky was. The guide taught me how to take beautiful photos of the night sky, and I was able to capture memorable pictures that you wouldn't believe were taken with an iPhone. It was also a lot of fun gazing at the constellations. I'm glad I got to participate in such an enjoyable tour.

It was truly wonderful to see the pristine stars of Australia. I contacted them by email to adjust my schedule in the middle of the trip, and they immediately confirmed it and provided both pickup and drop-off services to my accommodation, which was excellent. Thank you for not only showing us the stars but also for teaching us how to take beautiful photos of the night sky. (The photo on the left was taken before learning, and the one on the right was taken after learning.) They even adjusted the settings for my phone model, so I got some really beautiful night sky star photos. I think I can use what I learned for taking other sky photos in the future. (For those who want to get beautiful photos, it would be good to bring something to stabilize your phone. I felt like I could have learned even more about photography if I had brought my own equipment). In addition, it was great that they explained constellations and taught us how to find north and south. Thank you for creating such beautiful memories. :)

The stargazing tour was truly wonderful, and I enjoyed it immensely! Takuma is an excellent tour guide who shared a wealth of knowledge about the stars. We were able to see the Milky Way, the Southern Cross, and even shooting stars. He also provided us with valuable tips for astrophotography.

It was truly an unforgettable experience, seeing so many stars made me incredibly excited and happy. The guide drove safely, and after we got out of the car, he explained a lot about the stars in detail. He also taught me how to take photos of the stars with my mobile phone. I really felt the guide was attentive and responsible. He deserves high praise. ❤️👏👏 Next time I come to Australia, I will definitely book this tour again; it was truly eye-opening.

The weather seemed bad on the day, so I urgently rescheduled and participated. They kindly accommodated the change. The weather was good, and I was very satisfied to see many shooting stars, the Southern Cross, and even the Milky Way. It was a tour of 1 hour there, 1 hour of stargazing, and 1 hour back. I was worried about the lack of restrooms along the way, but it turned out to be fine.

It was great that they told us in advance that we wouldn't be able to take pictures of the natural scenery before departure, that there were no toilets, and that the car would be bumpy! When we arrived, we saw incredibly beautiful stars, and it's my best memory since coming to Australia! They also taught us how to take photos, and we got some wonderful souvenir pictures!
