Passeio de Duck do Exército com teleférico Skyrail e passeio de trem panorâmico Kuranda

This itinerary includes: specific hotel pick-up and drop-off (it's recommended to call in advance to confirm the pick-up location), a cable car ride towards Kuranda, round-trip shuttle service from Kuranda to the Rainforestation Nature Park (Army Duck), a scenic train ride from Kuranda back to the city, and transfer back to your hotel. The shuttle bus has a driver with an Indian accent who will briefly explain the itinerary, but there won't be a guide accompanying you during the intermediate parts of the trip. You'll need to carry your own luggage, but you can use the shuttle service to travel between attractions at the scheduled times. The panoramic views from the cable car and train are truly beautiful, and Kuranda Village is quite unique. The amphibious vehicle (Army Duck) is the only part with a guided tour. The operator is very humorous and will introduce the local ecosystem. At the same attraction (Rainforestation Nature Park), there are also activities like holding a koala for photos and aboriginal performances, but these require an additional charge. If the aboriginal performance time clashes with your Army Duck ride, you can adjust the sequence with the ticket staff, as long as it's before the shuttle bus departs for its return journey. The return train tickets and seat assignments are pre-arranged from the start, so please be sure to board on time. Your carriage number and seat will be provided along with the itinerary when you first board the tour bus. It's recommended to wear a hat on the Army Duck, as the vehicle's movement might dislodge ants from the tree leaves. The itinerary is relaxed and doesn't require much walking, except perhaps for strolling around Kuranda.

We selected the pick-up location when booking, arrived 10 minutes early at the meeting point, and boarded the bus after roll call. The process was very smooth. The tour leader distributed the day trip itinerary, and the meeting times and locations for each attraction on the bus, which was very clear. First, we took the cable car up the mountain, passing two cable car stations where we could get off and walk to enjoy the scenery. After reaching the terminal, we explored Kuranda Village. Next, we went to Rainforest Station Nature Park to ride the Army Duck amphibious vehicle. Afterwards, we had a self-funded lunch in Kuranda Village. After lunch, we made our own way to Kuranda Railway Station to catch the 3 PM scenic train back to the city center. There was one stop along the way where we could get off to see a waterfall. However, the entire train journey was a bit long, taking about two and a half hours to return to Cairns Station. Upon arrival, we could choose to leave the group or take the tour bus back to the hotel. Overall, the itinerary was very fulfilling, and the instructions were very clear. Highly recommended for those who don't want to arrange their own itinerary!

The transportation and tour guide were excellent; it would have been even better if the itinerary had been explained more clearly. The Kuranda Rainforest ecological tour is definitely worth participating in. The Army Duck experience, a land and water rainforest tour, is very unique, and the guide introduces the characteristics of the rainforest and its special plants. If you have time, you can freely explore Kuranda Village, or visit the wildlife park and participate in the Aboriginal boomerang activity! It's not very thrilling, but it's a rare experience! Taking the Kuranda Railway on the way there and the Scenic Cableway on the way back allows you to see the rainforest comprehensively! Let's protect the tropical rainforest well!

Barron Falls is very impressive, and the guide's explanation was very detailed. The cable car was smooth. Although there was a slight delay of half an hour due to rain that day and the scenic train was not operating, which was a minor disappointment, the overall experience was still great.

The queue for the Skyrail is long, but it moves quickly. The view from above is amazing and each stop takes about 15 minutes. The duck tour is informative about the trees in the rainforest, and the scenic railway is amazing. It will stop for 10 minutes to allow you to take pictures of the Barron Falls.

I really enjoy Kuranda. You get the beautiful views from the train or sky rail. The village itself is really nice. A lot of local shops selling beautiful or tasty wares. The Army Duck was fun and educational. Learnt about the plants to stay away from.

Wow! The scenery is epic and such a great way to go up in the train and back down in the skyrail. Kuranda town is lovely but we didn't realise the markets aren't on every day (Thu to Sun only). However, there's still plenty of shops in the main high-street. Army duck was fun and something different to do.

El autobús nos recogió en el hotel a tiempo, el conductor y el guía turístico fueron muy amables. Todo muy bien organizado. Disfrutamos de cada atracción y paseo, el viaje en tren y el teleférico con vistas increíbles. El Army Duck también fue divertido. Tuvimos tiempo libre para explorar el pueblo de Kuranda, comprar en el mercado, tomar algo en la cafetería y luego dirigirnos al santuario de mariposas.
