When we arrived at the tea snack studio, the Korean instructor, a lovely young woman, greeted us warmly with a friendly smile. The studio itself was very clean and comfortable, and she thoughtfully played music for us. The entire making process was very enjoyable; the instructor patiently taught us the history of tea snacks and how to make them. At the end, we were also served Korean tea and pastries to taste. I highly recommend it! I would definitely go again!
An interesting and fun experience where you get to make traditional food of Korea. The steps for making are simple to follow, and the instructors are very pleasant and welcoming.
I really enjoyed this workshop and the whole experience of making traditional Korean dasik cookies. Apart from myself, there was just one other participant, so I was pleasantly surprised that the workshop still went ahead; most workshops in Korea usually require a minimum of three people. It felt like a very special, intimate session. We started with a brief and engaging introduction to the history and meaning behind dasik, followed by clear and patient instruction on how to prepare and shape them with different flavours. The process was relaxing and fun, and I left with a beautifully boxed set of 25 cookies; so pretty I almost don’t want to eat them! After making the cookies, we sat down to enjoy a few of them with a cup of traditional Korean tea, which was the perfect way to round off the experience. The atmosphere was warm and unhurried, with time to talk and share stories. Highly recommended for anyone; the steps are easy to follow, and the teacher was incredibly kind.
Instruktörerna var mycket vänliga, liten och mysig miljö, ser fram emot fler av deras klasser under k-vibe studio!
It was a calming experience. The class only consisted of myself and my friend. We learned a brief history of the dashik tea dessert, and the process was relatively easy. We also got to try some tea and were able to take away our goods. The studio was relatively easy to find on Google Maps, and the teacher was patient and kind.
We were a little late (due to traffic) but the teachers were so understanding. We jumped into the class quickly and immersed ourselves in the traditional dessert making process. It was so fun to experience this part of Korean culture in making food! They also gave us gift boxes to pack our goods and complimentary tea!
I had so much fun and loved the experience. Every step in making the dessert was shown and explained in detail. The atmosphere was also very comfortable and peaceful. At the end of the class we could try the dessert we made with a cup of tea as well as taste other desserts. Thank you so much for this class!
Eye-catching in both their palette of colors and elegant variation of design by mold-pressed auspicious patterns, surprising and delicious in taste (thanks to the fresh prepared ingredients) yet not too sweet (by adding honey only), when paired with a sip of tea the slightly dry texture immediately melts down smoothly, the first impression of those self-made, soya & almond powder based dasik is overwhelming. Thank you dear instructor for introducing the history of dasik, preparing an easy-to-follow recipe, patiently fuelling us with tteok, yakgwa and mugwort tea, and last but not least adding two summer favorites Omija and Yuzu to the final line-up :)))! I enjoyed the class and exchanging with the other local Korean participant very much. Two days later I could even share the box of our beautiful team work in my summer school class during a farewell tea session. Now back home I can't wait to give it a try to make them from the scratch :).
I had a wonderful time making traditional Korean desserts (Dasik) in a calm, beautifully designed space. The instructor was kind and explained everything clearly, even for beginners. Using traditional tools made the experience feel very authentic and hands-on. We ended with tea and my handmade Dasik turned out so pretty. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful and meaningful cultural activity in Seoul.
I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in baking or who wants to make a fantastic gift to take home. We had a great time and a fantastic teacher. The best thing we did during our entire trip.
