This experience was an amazing experience in Seoul! It's very conveniently located in a cute neighborhood, and the studio where you do the activity is so beautiful. The teacher explained everything in great detail in English, and helped us when we needed help. Making the actual book took only an hour and a half to complete. The process was very simple - so it's beginner friendly, and the notebook you get to take home is very beautiful! Highly recommend this activity for those who want to make a personalized souvenir from Seoul in the style of traditional Korean books. (The teacher also took some amazing photos of us during the experience!)

I love crafts and had a wonderful time at “Danchoodan” this morning, learning the traditional craft of bookbinding. Jin Hee was very patient and kind while leading the class. It’s a well-lit place with thoughtfully designed furniture, made specifically for the class. Comfortable and relaxing. Although today’s class was made up of solo travelers, it wasn’t “quiet.” We shared and discussed our choices of covers and threads. This is an option to consider if you want something different from shopping, walking, or sightseeing. It’s not difficult to find this place. Google Maps shows the building. NAVER Map guides you through subway transit. Alight at Daeheung station. Once you exit from Exit 2 (at street level), make a U-turn to your left and walk along the pavement (without crossing any street). Keep walking to the building with the address “100.” There’s a “Danchoodan” sign in front of the building. Use the intercom (follow the instructions pasted on the glass door) for access. You won’t miss it.

2 Stunden voller Spaß! Wir waren insgesamt 3 Gäste, die Stimmung war gut und wir haben uns leicht untereinander und mit unserer Gastgeberin unterhalten. Jinny war so sprudelnd und interessant, sich mit ihr zu unterhalten! Auch wenn sie sagt, dass sie nicht gut Englisch spricht, haben wir es geschafft, alle Anweisungen zu verstehen und auch Smalltalk zu führen! Der Ort war etwas schwierig zu finden, daher werde ich ein Bild von der Vorderseite hinzufügen. Man muss an der Tür klingeln und sie wird einem öffnen, dann ein paar Treppen hochgehen und man hat dieses helle Atelier! Definitiv eine Aktivität zum Wiederholen, sehr ruhige Nachbarschaft und auch nah an den Verkehrsmitteln.

A great way to spend 2 hours in Seoul and you get to take home a little bit of Korea with you. It comes with easy to follow instructions from a very patient Teacher Jinhee and you’ll get to customize the look of your book from an assortment of colours available. The experience was both fun and satisfying!

This course is definitely worth joining! The environment is very comfortable. Even if you don't speak Korean, it's totally fine—the teacher explains clearly in simple English, and also guides you step by step with great care. The teacher even checks everything carefully, so there's no need to worry about falling behind. And at the end, there's even thoughtful packaging—it's really amazing! If you get the chance, you should definitely try it!

This is an amazing class! Jinhee is calm and super organized. She was also very attentive. The resulting book is beautiful and now I need to find the perfect pen to write in it with! I highly recommend this class!

I absolutely loved this! Not only is Jinhee a great teacher, but she's also so sweet and friendly. I had so much fun chatting with her during the class and the time really flew by!
