I love crafts and had a wonderful time at “Danchoodan” this morning, learning the traditional craft of bookbinding. Jin Hee was very patient and kind while leading the class. It’s a well-lit place with thoughtfully designed furniture, made specifically for the class. Comfortable and relaxing. Although today’s class was made up of solo travelers, it wasn’t “quiet.” We shared and discussed our choices of covers and threads. This is an option to consider if you want something different from shopping, walking, or sightseeing. It’s not difficult to find this place. Google Maps shows the building. NAVER Map guides you through subway transit. Alight at Daeheung station. Once you exit from Exit 2 (at street level), make a U-turn to your left and walk along the pavement (without crossing any street). Keep walking to the building with the address “100.” There’s a “Danchoodan” sign in front of the building. Use the intercom (follow the instructions pasted on the glass door) for access. You won’t miss it.

This experience was an amazing experience in Seoul! It's very conveniently located in a cute neighborhood, and the studio where you do the activity is so beautiful. The teacher explained everything in great detail in English, and helped us when we needed help. Making the actual book took only an hour and a half to complete. The process was very simple - so it's beginner friendly, and the notebook you get to take home is very beautiful! Highly recommend this activity for those who want to make a personalized souvenir from Seoul in the style of traditional Korean books. (The teacher also took some amazing photos of us during the experience!)

An amazing experience. Making the notebook is easy and if you get stuck the instructor will help you out with everything. It is a wonderful souvenir from Korea! I really recommend booking this experience.

Fantastisk opplevelse for meg. Flott hvis du reiser alene. Læreren går i et rolig tempo slik at du ikke blir forvirret, hun var veldig hjelpsom og støttende. Vil absolutt anbefale, ikke bare for å lage notatboken, men du får også lære litt historie om notatbøkene.

What an amazing experience! Jinhee was so patient and friendly and walked us step-by-step through the entire process. She helped each person individually and even took pictures (and sent them to us right away). Highly recommend this unique and traditional South Korean experience!

Tuvimos un grupo pequeño, así que fue muy agradable poder conversar con nuestra profesora sobre los materiales que estábamos usando. Incluso nos indicó dónde ir si queríamos conseguir materiales para hacerlo en casa. Aprendimos un estilo de encuadernación y nos mostró un estilo diferente. Volvería a ir y hasta le dije que debería ofrecer una sesión avanzada para quienes ya han asistido. También me gustó que nos tomara fotos que nos envió después de nuestra sesión.

Fabulous time with Jenny in France Rabbit studio - fantastic and kind teacher. Excellent English. Lesson was a lovely way to spend winter day with warm cup of tea. We went through the various tools and steps. She had so much knowledge of the craft and answered my many questions. Loved picking the colours of the silk and thread. Great experience, shall bring my family when we visits next year!

I think this class will remain one of my best experiences in Korea! I was alone, and I was able to chat and laugh with Jinhee for a long time. The class was very interesting, and I learned a lot! If you like notebooks and crafts in general, I highly recommend it!

Absolutely loved this experience! I definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Seoul. It was an absolute blast! I love making things, and the instructor is simply superb! I may get into book binding cause that was addictive!
