I had a wonderful time at the mother-of-pearl craft experience. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d do well, but once I started, I quickly got immersed in the process. Choosing and placing each piece to create my own design was relaxing and satisfying, and the natural shimmer of the material made the final piece feel even more special. June was incredibly helpful throughout, guiding me step by step so I never felt lost. Thanks to the support, I was able to create something I’m really proud of. I also loved that photos were taken during the experience, making it even more memorable.

This experience was well worth it. The class ended up being just my friend and me. We ended up taking over 2 hours. We ended up learning about the history as well as some fun techniques.

June pays attention to each participant, offers thoughtful suggestions, and encourages creativity without being intrusive. It felt less like a class and more like a collaborative and inspiring artistic journey. By the end of the workshop, I wasn’t just leaving with a souvenir—I was leaving with a story, a memory, and a deeper appreciation for Korean culture. The piece I created is something I will truly treasure. If you are visiting Seoul and looking for something unique, meaningful, and hands-on, I cannot recommend this experience enough.

I had an absolutely unforgettable experience with this Mother-of-Pearl workshop in Seoul. Out of everything I did during my trip, this was truly one of the most meaningful and memorable activities. From the moment I arrived, I could feel that this was not just a typical tourist activity, but a carefully curated cultural experience. The space itself is beautifully designed -calm, artistic, and inspiring. It immediately sets the tone for a creative and immersive experience. Every detail, from the materials to the atmosphere, felt intentional and thoughtfully prepared. The workshop process was incredibly engaging. Even as a complete beginner, I never felt overwhelmed. The instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, allowing me to fully enjoy the process of designing and creating my own piece. Working with mother-of-pearl is something truly special the way it reflects light and reveals different colors is mesmerizing. It felt like I was creating something genuinely unique.

Our group of four stumbled upon this gem and it turned out to be the highlight of our entire Seoul trip. June, the owner, is incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about Korean cultural heritage. From the moment we walked in, he made all four of us feel right at home. He guided us patiently through the entire mother-of-pearl crafting process, sharing the history behind najeonchilgi while making sure everyone in our group felt supported. Despite being a group of four, no one ever felt rushed or overlooked. We laughed, learned, and created together — each walking away with a unique handmade piece we’ll treasure forever.
