The place was really calm and peaceful while the teacher was very patient and helpful throughout the whole process. There are many colorful pieces and using the different shapes made from abalone shell was really interesting.

A pesar de llegar tarde a mi reserva, el miembro del personal de hoy, June, fue muy acogedor. Me explicó la historia de la artesanía y respondió a todas mis preguntas. También me explicó cada paso del proceso. Era el único aquí, pero me sentí muy cómodo. Sin duda, recomendaría reservar aquí. Especialmente con amigos.

I had a wonderful time at the mother-of-pearl craft experience. At first, I wasn’t sure if I’d do well, but once I started, I quickly got immersed in the process. Choosing and placing each piece to create my own design was relaxing and satisfying, and the natural shimmer of the material made the final piece feel even more special. June was incredibly helpful throughout, guiding me step by step so I never felt lost. Thanks to the support, I was able to create something I’m really proud of. I also loved that photos were taken during the experience, making it even more memorable.

This experience was well worth it. The class ended up being just my friend and me. We ended up taking over 2 hours. We ended up learning about the history as well as some fun techniques.

By the end of the workshop, I wasn’t just leaving with a souvenir—I was leaving with a story, a memory, and a deeper appreciation for Korean culture. I had an absolutely unforgettable experience with this Mother-of-Pearl workshop in Seoul. Out of everything I did during my trip, this was truly one of the most meaningful and memorable activities. Every detail, from the materials to the atmosphere, felt intentional and thoughtfully prepared. The workshop process was incredibly engaging. Even as a complete beginner, I never felt overwhelmed. The instructions were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, allowing me to fully enjoy the process of designing and creating my own piece. Working with mother-of-pearl is something truly special the way it reflects light and reveals different colors is mesmerizing. It felt like I was creating something genuinely unique.
