It was an amazing opportunity. The instructor was knowledgeable and made the process fun. Kids especially enjoyed tasting the ramen at the end. Overall, it was a delightful and educational experience. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in Japanese cuisine.

We (my husband, 13-year-old daughter, 11-year-old son, and I) had a wonderful experience painting our ceramic ramen bowls and then making our own bowl of ramen from scratch. The ramen was absolutely delicious, and all the ingredients (soy sauce, noodles, stock, etc.) had been handmade in the main restaurant nearby. The owner shared his techniques and made us feel very welcome. The venue is very new and well-appointed. I would highly recommend this as an activity to do while in Kyoto!

¡Qué mañana! No teníamos idea de qué esperar cuando fuimos a esta experiencia, ya que todavía era relativamente nueva en Klook. ¡Qué alegría haber aprovechado la oportunidad de hacerla! Shin (el fundador del restaurante y la academia) es un genio de la cocina. Todos los ingredientes principales para el ramen se hacen desde cero en su restaurante, siendo la receta la misma que se usa en su restaurante reconocido por Michelin en Toronto. Él te enseña sobre el proceso de cocción y tú armas tu propio tazón de ramen. Aunque no cocinas desde cero absoluto (necesitarías 2 días con su método), aprendes sobre todo el proceso y sobre el método en la cocina después de que los fideos y la base de sopa han sido preparados. El proceso fue fluido y fácil de entender, ya que Shin fue un gran maestro cuyo inglés era claro. También pintamos nuestros propios tazones, que luego recogimos al día siguiente. El ramen fue el mejor que comimos en el viaje, y tuvieron en cuenta mi alergia, aunque puede que no sea posible satisfacer todas las necesidades.

Una actividad divertida para niños y adultos. La preparación del ramen fue muy interactiva y puedes llevarte a casa tu propio tazón de ramen personalizado. ¡Un gran recuerdo de tu viaje a Kioto!

This was a fun experience and the ramen was amazing! The owner, Shin, was extremely nice and hospitable. They will fire your bowl and wrap it so that it is protected during travels too. Definitely recommend this experience!

My family (including kids ages 9 & 12) had such an incredible time painting our bowls and cooking the MOST delicious ramen ever. The owner, Shin, and his team are all so lovely and hospitable. I HIGHLY recommend this experience as it’s the perfect length of time, in a beautiful location and fun for all!

It was an absolutely fantastic experience we had. I walked into the historical Kyoto Gion which is close to the Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera and more. My daughter and I enjoyed painting our customized Musoshin aprons which we took home as a souvenir and made tasty Ramen with the guidance by the owner Shin who is very patient, entertaining, perfect English and fun. I had a lot of ramen in Japan, and this bowl of Ramen is the BEST of all. The length of workshop was perfect to combine with our trip. I highly recommend if you are looking for the memorable trip to Kyoto. Overall 10/10

These guys are absolutely awesome! They not only accommodated to a change of my reservation on the same day- but they made sure to bring the whole experience!! They were very kind, personable and funny! There was no shortage in ensuring that memories were made and captured on your device for safekeeping! Not even to say the food was INCREDIBLE! We didn’t even get to photograph it- it was so good! Definently gives a newfound perspective on the art of ramen all around!

At first there was a problem because they hadn't received the reservation, but I called and they immediately came to assist us and were very attentive the whole time to ensure we were comfortable. The experience was very entertaining and the Ramen exquisite, the best we've ever eaten. Recommended if you want to do something different in Japan.

The gentleman owned many restaurants, including one in Toronto with a Michelin star. He prepared all of his food himself, including Michelin-recipe broth and noodles, and explained all the ingredients in detail. You could also ask many questions. I couldn't recommend it more; it was so much fun, and the ramen bowl painting too! Please visit!
