Thank you so much Klook for another great deal on this lunch buffet at Urban Kitchen, JW Marriott Hotel in Macau. I will definitely recommend it. The food is excellent, and even with many diners, the dishes are constantly refilled. I especially loved the steak—so tender and juicy. And the sushi station, I loved that too! The drinks are 10/10; the coffee is perfectly perfect for us coffee lovers. Thank you to the staff member Loyd, who made the coffee and chocolate drinks for us, and also to Francis, who helped me carry our drinks all the way to our table. Our table was a bit far from the drink stations, so thank you very much! 😍 I really appreciate the help.
We were allowed to enter before the scheduled time, which was a great arrangement. Although I thought it would start at 12 o'clock, some guests had already gone out to get food before 12. The staff did not stop them, so we were also able to start our meal early. Regarding the food, there was Western, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, and Malay cuisine. The Peking duck among the Chinese dishes was very good. As for the beverage bar, besides soft drinks, other beverages were prepared by staff. There were Chinese teas, coffee, and even hot chocolate. There was no limit on refills, which was excellent. Moreover, the staff were very friendly. I'd like to give them a thumbs up here. The only minor issue was that the dragon fruit among the fruits was a bit sour, either due to bad luck or because it wasn't in season. The ginger milk pudding (?) among the desserts was very sweet but also very bitter. I'm not sure where the bitterness came from. Other desserts were decent. For just over two hundred dollars, you can actually eat until you're very full. However, I hope they can add plain rice, as some dishes would be much better with it.
The food was very good, especially the dessert which I liked very much. The Peking duck and lamb chops were also very delicious. For dessert, I particularly enjoyed the Portuguese egg tart and soft serve. Overall, 8/10.
If you’re looking for a lunch buffet, I recommend Urban Kitchen. There are so many food options, especially the wagyu fried rice. The Peking duck roll is worth the wait—even though there’s always a queue. There aren’t many dessert choices, but the egg tart was pretty good.
Food Taste: There's a vast selection of food, and it's frequently replenished. The salads, sashimi, and seafood are all incredibly fresh and delicious, and the Peking duck is outstanding. This time, there were also Xi'an themed dishes. There's a self-service bar where you can get drinks anytime, with a wide variety of choices including various coffees, juices, cocktails, and even Hong Kong-style milk tea. Just the drink selection alone is superior to other hotel buffets. The salad selection is also extensive, all stored in two large refrigerators, so they are not exposed to the open environment for long periods, maintaining excellent hygiene. The dessert selection is even more abundant, with fresh, very large Portuguese egg tarts. The Tiramisu was especially delicious, but unfortunately, it wasn't refilled; it only came out once, and then it was gone when I wanted more. For ice cream, there are no ice cream cups or scoops, but there are three flavors of soft-serve ice cream to choose from [vanilla, chocolate, coffee] which are not too sweet and very tasty. Price: Considering the variety of food, the price is very reasonable. Experience: Excellent. For birthdays, the staff even sing a birthday song and present a mini birthday cake, which is not small in portion, very generous and heartwarming. Restaurant Environment: The sofa seats are a bit too soft and not very comfortable. The seating arrangement feels a bit cramped, and the sense of space is slightly restricted. Service: The service is excellent. Staff are evenly distributed across different areas to quickly assist guests. Water refilling and plate clearing are also very efficient. You can always find a server quickly when you need help. Overall: The service, food selection, hygiene, and quality are all excellent. Booking through Klook makes it even more affordable, definitely worth trying.
It was a great experience, very nice food with a lot of selections, friendly staff always ready for a guest's short request (like a very short notice for my friend's birthday cake). I will definitely come back and will bring more friends and family as well to enjoy and experience the food and the service.
I ate here once before the pandemic and it was quite good. Over the years, I've seen continuous positive reviews, so I decided to try the buffet lunch again. I booked through Klook for $345, which is almost $50 cheaper than the hotel's MOP358+10%. It's excellent value for money; the entire lunch has so much food, much more than buffets in Hong Kong. Particularly outstanding were the Portuguese oxtail 👍, oxtail soup, Peking duck 👍, cordyceps chicken soup, roasted beef ribs 👍, Portuguese egg tarts 👍, cheesecake 👍, and ice cream 👍. The beverage station deserves special praise; everything is freshly made to order, so there was a long queue throughout. I was sitting nearby and witnessed the beverage station working non-stop the entire time, and they were very quick and polite. The barista was incredibly efficient, even managing latte art during such a busy period 👍. The hot tea uses WG tea bags, which is no deception, and it's served in a full pot, with the option for hot water refills. When I asked for more hot water, the young lady, worried it wouldn't be strong enough, gave me another tea bag, which was very thoughtful and absolutely commendable 👍.
This is our second time at JW Marriott for the buffet. It never disappoints us. Nonstop supply of lobsters and oysters – fresh and refreshing. A wide variety of drinks. The quality of the food is very high. Most important of all, we were reassured that none of the seafood came from Japan :)
