Excursão de meio dia ao nascer do sol em George Town, Penang Hill

Our tour guide, Ricky Ooi, was in close contact with us before our departure. The original itinerary specified meeting at the Dragon City Hotel, but he flexibly arranged for pickup at our hotel in George Town, which was very reassuring. He arrived at the hotel early to brief us on the itinerary and important details, allowing us to reach Penang Hill promptly and catch the first cable car. He even guided us to the best spots inside the car to enjoy the scenery during the ride. He gave us advance tips on each attraction, highlighting their best features, which kept us captivated. The most exciting part was, under his guidance, I witnessed a perfect sunrise for the first time ever. The crimson sun suddenly rose above the horizon, which was breathtaking. As it had just rained the day before, the sky was incredibly clear and adorned with golden, shimmering clouds. Even locals exclaimed they had never seen such a sight, and we even saw a rainbow – truly a rare and fortunate occurrence! We were incredibly lucky to encounter Vicky, a guide with over 30 years of experience. His professionalism was impeccable; he introduced the stories behind each attraction and the best photo spots with great precision. He also catered to our needs, taking us to the Siamese Sister Curry Mee shop, which has received Michelin recognition for two consecutive years, for breakfast, allowing us to savor delicious food. Ricky is very experienced in leading private tours; he understands that clients have their own preferences, so he arranged flexible timings. He first thoroughly introduced the characteristics of the local market, giving us time for free activities, and even treated us to local specialty fried bananas. Finally, when he dropped us back at the hotel, it was not yet 3:00 PM. He leveraged his connections to successfully persuade the hotel to allow us early check-in. The next time I visit Penang, I will definitely seek out Ricky as my private guide. He truly is a five-star guide! I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone!

We were very fortunate to have Mr Eric Ng as our guide: - Eric was very kind to pick us up from our hotel as we were the only guests that morning. - Our first stop was to see the sunrise from the peak of Penang Hill. Though the clouds hid the sunrise from view, it was still a great experience guided by the very humourous and knowledgeable Eric. - We rode the tram, walked around the lush green hills in lovely cool air, saw the Hindu temple & bronze canon etc. while Eric shared about the fascinating history and culture. We even met a handsome kitty on the viewing platform. :) - Next we visited Air Itam morning market to taste some delicious local foods such as curry noodles, char kway teow, roti canai etc. - We also visited the local Kek Lok Si temple. - The last stop was a visit to a local coffee producer for tasing and shopping. I totally recommend Mr Eric Ng as your guide for this very enjoyable tour.

We were the only two on the tour. Mr. Eric was a really accommodating tour guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.

We only decided to join this sunrise tour after arriving in Penang. Based on the weather forecast, we initially thought it would be sunny, but it rained, so we couldn't see the sunrise, which was a shame. Our guide, Ricky, was very kind. Since we were the only group that day, he arranged to pick us up directly from our hotel. Ricky was very chatty and introduced us to local culture and specialties. At a market, we even tried Penang's second-place award-winning fried kway teow, which was really good! Thank you, Ricky! 😊

Although we didn't see the sunrise due to heavy fog, we did see the night view. Our tour guide, Ricky Ooi, was excellent, knowledgeable, talkative, and polite. Since it was just my friend and I on the tour that day, Ricky specially came to pick us up from our hotel, saving us the trouble of going to another meeting point. It was very thoughtful!

RICKY is very professional and always on time for pickups and drop-offs. He also introduced us to very authentic local food and genuinely cared about our experience. He was able to answer all our questions and provide solutions. I highly recommend this tour; it was incredibly helpful to us.

We are very grateful to Eric-san. Despite the unfortunate rainy weather, he was flexible and guided us through various sights during breaks in the rain. The morning ascent by cable car was very impressive. Encountering a family of monkeys, which is a rare sight, was particularly memorable, and I was very satisfied, feeling glad to have come to the mountains. His punctuality also left a good impression, allowing us to perfectly match our schedule. I think this is very convenient for those with tight schedules. Since it was just the two of us this time, we were able to enjoy a comfortable tour in a nice, spacious car. Thank you very much.
