Mr. Ong is a very good tourist guide. He is well versed in the area and explains the history well. He also knows good places for tourists like us to thrive, dine, and even walk. Highly recommended guide.
Mr. Ong was very nice. We finished early as we were quick in taking pictures and there was no traffic, so he took us to another area to take more pictures and shopping, then dropped us off at a Michelin restaurant we wanted to try.
The tour was a really nice brief overview of Georgetown. The temples we went to visit were all really cool, and the guide was really informative regarding the differences and the rivalries that existed between them. The tour also discussed the colonial history of the city and the UNESCO influence (both pros and cons). We were also taken to the little districts in the town (little India, the Armenian district, the jettys). it was all very nice and informative. The guide also showed us some street food markets to check out, and he was super flexible with where we went and what we got to see. I would highly recommend this trip.
We had the pleasure of being guided by Ranjit during our tour around Georgetown, and it was an absolute delight. Ranjit is a lovely man, incredibly friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable about the area. He provided us with a comprehensive tour, happily obliging our specific requests and questions along the way. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic tour experience in Georgetown.
Our driver was Mr. Ong, who was there to pick us up early. The tour was a great introduction to Penang, allowing us to choose where to spend more time. It was a private tour for two, and Mr. Ong was very knowledgeable and friendly. We particularly liked that he told us where and when we needed to take off our shoes and gave us tips for visiting the temples - this made us feel like we knew what we were doing! Thanks, Mr. Ong :-)
G-Shen is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. A great photographer also. The tour itself is very good: two temples and then a downtown exploration - including Chew Jetty, street art and India & China town.
The familiar attractions of Penang, under the vivid explanations of our guide, Mr. Teh, took on a dazzling new meaning. He had an intimate knowledge of the historical context of every site, eloquently describing the magnificent landmarks and vividly portraying the changing fortunes of the old streets. What impressed me most was the restaurants Mr. Teh introduced to us! They offered very authentic and value-for-money local delicacies! It was truly wonderful to have Mr. Teh as our guide! His lively and engaging explanations breathed life into the ancient buildings, making us tourists feel as if we had traveled through time, personally experiencing the past and present of old Penang. His understanding of local culture and customs also greatly impressed me. Not only did he introduce attractions to tourists of different nationalities in various fluent languages, but he also frequently incorporated authentic Penang jokes and slang, allowing us to better empathize with the local customs and traditions. This also made us, being in a foreign land, feel incredibly welcomed and at home!
Mr. Ranjit was my private tour guide. He was very informative, a nice guide, and kind-hearted. The vehicle was so clean. Thanks, Mr. Ranjit and Klook... Looking forward to another trip with Klook.
