Overall an outstanding tour with a lot of good information and great to see all those filming locations for LOTR. Our guide was Robin who was an extra throughout the three movies and it was fun hearing his perspectives and talking with someone who was really in the thick of the movie making experience. The van was comfortable and the props were a nice touch to make photos a bit more memorable. Highly recommend this tour and this company.
If I could give this 100/100 I would. This tour experience was phenomenal for Loro of the Rings buffs. Our tour guide, Natalie was amazing. We were lucky to have a small group of five people until the afternoon, then it was my husband and I with Natalie on the rest of our journey was amazing. This was an amazing experience, a small tour of eight people and a great guide and driver. The visit of all the locations for the shootings of the Lord of the Rings movies was fantastic, close and personal. The Weta workshop is a wonderful place, full of mysteries and amazing things to see (an touch!), with a nice staff. The lunch experience, a buffet at the Aston Norwood café in a pretty venue was the cherry on the top of the cake. I completely recommend this tour with WTG!
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The journey was amazing, but I think the price is a bit on the high side. The lunch was not that good. The tour company should at least prepare some props for us to reenact some of the scenes.
This tour is a must-do for anyone who loves The Lord of the Rings... I had given up on visiting the filming location of Rivendell because I don't have a car, but this tour allowed me to explore not only Kaitoke Regional Park but also various other filming locations with a detailed guide... It was a truly enjoyable and enriching experience... 🥹🥹

We are very excited to be part of The Lord of the Rings. The weather is very good. The driver picked us up on time, and we have 18 people going with us. It's so fun, especially with The Lord of the Rings and Wētā Workshop. There is a lot of technology for shooting The Lord of the Rings. We just had a good experience, and we will come back again.
Hamish was great and mix of nature and LOTR. Weta tour was awesome as well.
Marc, nuestro guía, ¡fue simplemente INCREÍBLE! ¡Sabía muchísimo! Estuvo en la película y tenía muchísimas historias que contar. Vinimos mientras hacíamos un crucero. Nos recogieron directamente en la terminal de cruceros y nos dieron un delicioso almuerzo. ¡Nos mostraron muchísimos lugares de rodaje increíbles! ¡Y paisajes preciosos! Nos llevaron a WETA, ¡lo cual fue genial! ¡Una opción de tour fantástica! ¡Valió cada céntimo!
The tour was impressive, and the guide was nice to share about the movie including the details. By his introduction and sharing, we knew the movies more and had deeper feelings when arriving every locations.
