Passeio de 9 horas pela Curva do Danúbio

I signed up for a group day tour to the three small towns along the Danube. The tour guide was a local Hungarian who spoke English and Spanish, and their explanations were very clear. The driver drove smoothly, and the tour bus had good air conditioning, making it quite comfortable for napping. We gathered at 9 AM at the travel agency office near the Danube (in the same building as the InterContinental Hotel). Most of the participants were Westerners and of high quality; everyone kept their voices down on the bus and was super punctual for gatherings, making for a smooth and pleasant day! We visited three small towns, and the time was actually quite sufficient, not rushed at all. There was plenty of time for photos, shopping, and dining. Lunch was included; it wasn't gourmet, but the view outside the restaurant was excellent, and chatting with people from other countries in the group was also wonderful!

The group tour I joined in mid-October was well-managed, and the large bus was new and had comfortable seats. There were two tour guides: one provided explanations in English and German, and the other in Spanish and French, ensuring every traveler could properly understand the historical background and other relevant information about the cities we were about to visit. The lunch environment was pleasant, with the restaurant located on a hillside, offering a complimentary small glass of welcome wine, and the meal included hot soup, a main course, and dessert. If you want to visit the three Danube bend towns and don't have a car, I highly recommend joining this type of group tour as it's very convenient. The guides were also very responsible, providing free time and clear meeting times. The quality of the group members was also good, making it a pleasant journey.

The tour guide was a lady who seemed to be over 70 years old. Her explanations were very detailed and polite. The attractions visited were beautiful, and lunch was average. We took a boat back, enjoying the beautiful scenery on both banks. Overall, it was a good experience and worth participating in.

I highly recommend this tour. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and you can see the picturesque countryside of Hungary and Slovakia. Lunch was delicious Hungarian home-style cooking, and our guide Yolanda was very friendly.

I was really disappointed with the tour in general. it doesnt worth the 100 euros paid. The bus is comfortable and the guide was great (perfect english and spanish skills), but the tour itself was really “meh”… We visited what was offered, but it didnt worth the time, the effort and the money. I would prefer to spend on a day at the spa or a really nice dinner. The cathedral was ok. But then, at Visegrad, I think we could get closer to the castle ruins. The restaurant where we had lunch was falling apart. The food was good, but the place was full of flies and bugs. The glasses were not clean and when I asked the waitress to change it, she looked at me really mad. The most interesting thing was the stop at the historical town, but we spent only 1h15 there. we could easily go by train and spend more time…

The tour guide was very professional, explaining the sights to us in three languages throughout the trip. On the way there, we drove past lavender fields, and on the way back, we saw the Parliament Building from a boat on the Danube River. It was a very good experience.

Thank you to the tour guide for the detailed introduction at each attraction. It's a pity the church was under renovation, so we couldn't see its full glory. Highly recommend this tour where you don't have to worry about finding your own way!

Un po' costoso ma include il pranzo e la crociera (solo andata). Rilassante, non troppo affrettato. La guida (Maria) è stata molto gentile e si è presa cura dei partecipanti. Ha spiegato in inglese e italiano in modo professionale e si è assicurata che capissimo i luoghi di incontro e gli orari. L'autista Julian era un po' distaccato ma ha guidato in modo sicuro.

It's quite convenient to visit the three towns by car. In fact, the places are not too far apart, and you can reach them all within about an hour, so having a car transfer makes it much easier. Our tour guide started introducing attractions and scenery along the way from the Chain Bridge to Margaret Bridge as soon as we got in the car. He would also join in conversations when group members asked questions or chatted, which felt very friendly. The main thing is that his English accent wasn't too strong, so even with my limited English, I could understand about 60% of the meaning throughout the tour (laughs). It's a bit of a shame that Esztergom was under renovation, and I heard it would take a long time. Also, we didn't go up to the fortress in Visegrád; I thought we could go up and walk around and take photos, but it turns out you can only view it from a distance, which is a pity. If you get a chance to go on a day with good weather, it would be a nice experience.
