Tickets are completely sold out for popular on-site time slots on weekdays, so be sure to purchase them online in advance! The tour includes one glass of red wine/champagne/beer or cola. The recent sunset time is around 6:15 PM, and I bought a boat ticket for 6:20 PM. You can arrive 6 minutes early to rest in the lounge next to the pier, avoiding the cold wind outside. Arriving early allows you to board early and choose your seat. The lounge also has a dedicated restroom for the boat company, so you don't need to use the portable toilets on the pier. The 6:20 PM boat arrived in front of the Parliament Building just as it got completely dark (around 7 PM), allowing you to see the transition from sunset to night. I sat in the first row on the left side of the boat, and the view was perfect. Buda Castle and Fisherman's Bastion were both on the left side when it got dark. Only for the outbound journey to the Parliament Building did I need to stand up, walk to the right side to take a photo, and then return. On the return journey, the left side also faced the Parliament Building, but the boat was further away, so the photos weren't as good. This is my sharing.

We had a fantastic time on the Danube River Evening Sightseeing Cruise in Budapest! The 7:30PM slot was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful city lights as the sun sets. It was a bit chilly, so definitely remember to bring a jacket. The drinks served included a nice selection of champagne, beer, juice and water. The champagne was a great choice for the photo ops! Using the Klook QR code made the boarding process super convenient; we simply showed it at the entrance before the boat ride. Overall, a wonderful experience that I highly recommend!

As others have mentioned, there aren't many outdoor seats, so you have to arrive and queue earlier than the suggested time. I had a reservation for 8:20 PM, so I went to wait around 7:40-7:45 PM. I think 8:20 PM is the perfect time; you can see everything from sunset to complete darkness, including the scenery before and after the lights are turned on. This activity wasn't originally in my Budapest itinerary; it was a last-minute decision and purchase. After it was all over, I must say I'm glad I decided to come; it was truly worth it!

I went on a night cruise at the end of December. We started lining up 20 minutes before departure, but the line was incredibly long. The first-floor seats are enclosed in glass, and each seat has a guide earphone. The second floor is completely open, but it was extremely cold, so there were very few people. Of course, the view is much better from the second floor, and you can take beautiful photos. You can move freely between the first and second floors. One drink is included, but please note that there are no hot drinks, and they won't bring drinks to the second floor. The scenery was spectacular, and the Parliament Building and Chain Bridge were absolutely stunning, just like I'd seen on TV! I'm so glad I came.

Although it was a bit cold with rain and strong winds, this boat tour was absolutely worth it. I took the 8 PM cruise on May 16th, and I had booked in advance, as mid-May is considered peak tourist season. Around 7 PM, I was worried it would still be too bright to see the illuminated Parliament Building at night, but as the boat departed at 8 PM, dusk gradually set in. First, there was the blue hour sky, and it truly was a beautiful night view!

This is the only boat tour you should do! The monuments are lit up at night and they look so pretty! Very easy to redeem and the staff communicated with me via email to inform me that I would need to reschedule to a later time. No worries... I liked the commentary and the free drink too!

This is a must-do activity when visiting Budapest. I attended the 9:30 PM session, which was perfect for summer. The entire city sparkled golden along the riverbanks, absolutely enchanting.

We arrived 30 minutes early to queue up to avoid the crowd and secured a good window seat for taking nice pictures. It's quite windy and cold after 4 PM in late November. We only went out to the outdoor area to take a few pictures upon seeing the Hungarian Parliament. We were very lucky that the other passengers were all very quiet and made no noise, so we could really enjoy the champagne and the beautiful scenery. The champagne is just a normal one, but good for taking pictures 😂. I would recommend joining this boat tour as the pier is easily accessible, and we only took a short ride after a guided tour to the Parliament. Don't forget to visit the free washroom at the pier before you go. It's clean.
