This Danube Bend day trip was very well organized, covering Visegrád, Esztergom, and Szentendre smoothly within a day. The guide’s explanations were detailed and insightful, adding a lot of depth to each stop. With beautiful weather throughout the trip, everything felt even more enjoyable. The scenery along the Danube was stunning, and the overall experience was relaxed and seamless.

This trip first took us to Slovakia to view Esztergom from across the river, then we returned to Esztergom for a visit. For lunch, we went to Visegrád, where the restaurant chosen by the travel agency served delicious and affordable food. Afterwards, we visited the castle, and finally explored Szentendre before taking a boat back to Budapest. Our guide, Maria, was excellent; at each attraction, she gave us the freedom to choose whether to follow her or explore on our own, and she allocated about an hour for each site, which was enough time for us to take photos and buy souvenirs. Since our English wasn't very good, we had to find the guide again at each new attraction to confirm the meeting time and place. Maria was very patient and friendly, explaining until she was sure we understood.

The tour guide first took us by minibus to Esztergom, then crossed the bridge to the Slovakian bank to view the Esztergom Basilica from the opposite side. Afterwards, we were taken to visit the Basilica itself. I recommend taking the challenging DOME VIEW route, which involves climbing small stone steps with handrail support, to reach the highest point where you can overlook the entire landscape. The second stop was Visegrád Castle, which includes a small museum. The third stop was Szentendre, a charming artistic town, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Very nice, experienced guide with a great sense of humor who ensures a good atmosphere among the participants. Clear and loud pronunciation in English. Happy to answer all questions. Very pleasant and entertaining tour. Highly recommended if you want to leave the city of Budapest to discover the country's interior.

The three towns where we stopped are all worth visiting. Esztergom's basilica is magnificent, and it was interesting to cross a bridge into Slovakia. However, if you want to fully experience the grandeur of the basilica, it's best not to go on a Sunday. On the day I visited, there was a special mass, and we could only see the lower part of the church, not the main hall. The guide apologized for this, but we understood it wasn't his fault. Visegrad Castle offers beautiful scenery, and Szentendre is also a charming European town, though a longer stay would have been ideal. Since we visited in the summer, our return journey was by boat back to Budapest city center, which was a great arrangement as the cruise passes by the Parliament building. Lunch was around 2:30 PM, so I recommend having breakfast before you set off.

Nicely planned daytrip from Budapest. The tour operator Cityrama is conveniently located in the city center and easy to reach. They have an office, so it is not just a random meeting spot. They cover the 3 spots as described in the itinerary and also go to Slovakia for a photo stop. We got a 35% discount, so it was well worth the money. The lunch stop was at a restaurant of their choice in Visegrad, so it is a bit of a forced decision. However, the food was good, a tad expensive.

The tour guide provided a very detailed explanation. This tour also allowed us to visit northern Hungary, where the Esztergom Basilica offers beautiful views of the Danube River. Szentendre has many small shops, and you can also take a boat back to Budapest from here, which takes about 1 hour.

The tour guide and driver were very kind and nice. The driver always helped when getting off the bus, and was super good. The tour guide planned a relaxed and easy itinerary. The lunch restaurant had comfortable space and good food, with a Chinese menu for easy ordering. Szentendre town is truly beautiful and worth visiting. On the return trip, we took a boat tour on the Danube River.

The trip was absolutely wonderful. The female guide was very kind and provided excellent explanations throughout the tour, and the driver drove very safely and professionally. The Esztergom Basilica and Visegrád Castle were especially impressive and beautiful. I highly recommend this tour!

A perfect day trip from Budapest! ​I highly recommend this Danube Bend tour. The itinerary was well-organized, starting with the artistic vibes of Szentendre, followed by the breathtaking panoramic views from Višegrad Citadel. Finishing at the grand Esztergom Basilica was the perfect touch. The guide was knowledgeable and the local bus was very comfortable. It’s a great way to see the beauty of Hungary outside the capital!
