We really enjoyed our Thai Akha cooking class experience from the market tour to the cooking itself, everything was smooth and seamless. Sandy our cooking teacher was very entertaining and gave us lots of historical info about Akha people. I highly recommend this to anyone!

We attended a cooking class featuring 11 traditional Thai dishes in a beautifully clean and organized kitchen and classroom. The environment was as delightful as the cuisine. Our wonderful instructor guided us efficiently through each recipe, making the learning process enjoyable and informative. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The option to purchase beer or wine added to the experience, making it feel like a true culinary journey. Highly recommended for anyone looking to dive into Thai cooking in a fun, educational, and delicious way.

Excellent cooking class! We made 10 small dishes, some by ourselves and others in groups with the teacher! It was truly delicious and allowed us to learn about Akka culture. The classroom is truly beautiful, and the teacher is attentive and interesting. She speaks English very well. I am vegetarian, and the meal was easily adapted! We recommend it 100%!

J'ai tout aimé de ce cours ! Vous apprendrez tellement de choses, mais d'une manière si simple. Toute l'équipe est vraiment super, tout était parfaitement organisé. Au début, quand j'ai vu combien nous allions cuisiner et que cela prendrait 4 heures, j'étais un peu effrayée, mais le temps est passé si vite. J'y retournerai certainement quand je reviendrai à Chiang Mai. Et je le recommande à tout le monde ☺️

I highly recommend this cooking class! Ming has a great sense of humor and is excellent at leading the entire cooking class! Plus, the dishes we learned to cook are amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the cooking class. Ming was incredibly patient and interacted wonderfully with everyone, guiding us step-by-step on how to cook each Thai dish. I truly loved the experience of cooking and then savoring the dishes during the break. This is definitely something to consider when visiting Chiang Mai.

The experience was incredible! Different from the activities I took around Chiang Mai. A breath of fresh air. The host was very enthusiastic and fun to be with. Guided us with everything we needed to do. Enjoyed it to bits and will definitely recommend.

The cooking class experience was wonderful! We signed up for the evening class. Akha Kitchen picked us up at our hotel at 1630 sharp, which was very punctual. The instructor introduced some history of the Akha tribe before beginning the cook. We really liked this part as we could understand the food and the ingredients more. The difference between Akha and Thai food was interesting too! The instructor let each of us chose our own menu. The class arrangement was excellent. We cooked around 10 dishes. Time was arranged really well that we cooked, then we ate, we cooked then we ate again. The food was just at the best temperature to eat. For those who could not stand a lot of spice, there were definitely options to choose from! The instructor had very good English and very clear instructions. We also had a cookbook and a dry spice pack by the end of class! This class is absolutely suitable for people who did not have any cooking experience!

I chose this class because I wanted to learn a lot, including a market tour and the Akha ethnic group, and I was very satisfied with the experience. They picked us up by tuk-tuk and gave us a market tour next to Wat Pan Whaen Temple, famous for massages, where we tasted various foods and learned how to peel mangosteens by hand! In the cooking class, cooking instruction and tasting took place immediately in a neatly set up kitchen. They also shared stories about the Akha people and even offered ant tasting, which was very interesting. A cookbook is available in various language versions, including Korean, which I can download and plan to use well. However, this class runs for over 6 hours, so it might be tough if you're not confident in your stamina. Although we sit down to eat occasionally, you have to stand continuously during the cooking lesson. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a lot!
