Claude Monet's House and Gardens-turer

Jeg dro dit etter å ha blitt invitert av slektninger som for tiden bor i Paris. Siden jeg hadde besøkt Orangeriet og Orsay dagen før, var jeg ekstra rørt. Jeg er ikke spesielt kunnskapsrik innen malerkunst, så jeg tror ikke jeg ville ha tatt turen dit hvis jeg ikke hadde blitt invitert, men det var absolutt verdt det. Dette var det mest minneverdige stedet på hele turen min!

Den 9. juni deltok vi på denne dagsturen til Van Goghs hus, Monets hage og Versailles-palasset. Dette var en eksklusiv liten gruppetur, og guiden vår var svært profesjonell. På Van Goghs siste hvilested kunne vi se de gyllne kornåkrene svaie i vinden. I tillegg slapp reisende å stå i kø for å kjøpe billetter, og kunne raskt komme inn for å besøke. Monets hage var utrolig vakker, med blomster overalt, og utsikten fra den japanske broen var pittoresk. Nøkkerosene i dammen virket som de ventet på å blomstre vakkert. Versailles-palasset ble forklart grundig, noe som ga oss et innblikk i Ludvig XIVs strålende periode.

Monet's house and gardens were very beautiful, and I was able to enjoy the scenery of the Normandy countryside. The length of the stay was also just right. However, regarding the meeting time, I had booked the 9:00 tour, but the instructions for other meeting details stated 8:15, which was confusing. In the end, I went to the meeting point at 8:00 and waited for an hour. Since there were several other groups in the same situation, I hope the descriptions can be made consistent. The tour itself was very good.

The guided tour to Versailles and Monet’s House was well organized and enjoyable from start to finish. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting stories and historical details along the way. Versailles was absolutely stunning, while Monet’s House and gardens were peaceful and beautiful—especially for anyone who loves art and nature. The transportation and schedule made it easy to visit both places in one day without worrying about the logistics.

A wonderful, well organised trip. the time at each place was correct. the staff was extremely friendly and forthcoming. I loved every bit of it. since we were only a group of five, we had a very comfortable car well equipped with water bottles and long charging cables. The accompanying staff was very nice and had answers to all our questions.

My spouse and I took a day tour of Giverny and Versailles. By chance, we were the only participants, making it a luxurious private tour. We were a bit tired and sometimes found it hard to concentrate on the English explanations, but our guide, Dario, was consistently calm and patiently explained everything. We would love to request Dario again on our next visit to Paris. He was also an excellent driver. Thank you very much.

Michael was an incredible guide! He knew what he was talking about and he was very funny and witty, I had the best time. Both places are beautiful and it was really good learning about Van Gogh and Monet. Definitely fell in love with Van Gogh and his work, especially after visiting Auvers-sur-Oise. Worth the trip for sure and would love to come back to take my son!
