The location is excellent — right in front of a tram station and very close to major attractions, which made getting around super convenient. The only downside was that the room didn’t feel as clean as I expected, likely because it’s an apartment-style accommodation. That said, everything was well organized and functional.

Very nice and clean room with good view of Spencer Street. I opted for no housekeeping service, so I saved a few dollars on the room charge. Very convenient location (very close to Southern Cross station), and near the downtown core of Melbourne. At $18 per person for the full breakfast, it’s very good value for money. Will definitely consider booking GSH the next time I plan to visit Melbourne.

The hotel's location is unbeatable. The room was a little smaller than I expected but still acceptable. The room was clean and bright, and the staff were polite. If I visit Melbourne again, it will definitely be my first choice. Hotel Location: Located in the central CBD, Melbourne's CBD has many attractions and top-notch restaurants and cafes, all within a few minutes to about ten minutes' walk. Basically, a few dozen steps to the left or right from the hotel entrance will lead you to a first-class cafe. The location is fantastic. Service: The staff were all very polite. Transportation Convenience: The tram station is just a few dozen steps away, and it's free to ride around the CBD. Can it get any better than that! Cleanliness: The room was clean, bright, and spotless, with all the necessary facilities.

If you're looking for clean, comfortable, and feature-packed accommodation that sits squarely between a luxury hostel and a budget hotel, the Space Hotel is your stop. It’s an ideal hub for exploring the Melbourne CBD without blowing your budget. Located right on Russell Street, the access to Melbourne Central, Queen Victoria Market, and the free tram zone is unbeatable. The facilities are what truly elevate this place: • The Rooftop Deck: Absolutely the highlight! Amazing 270-degree views of the city skyline, perfect for having a drink or just chilling. • Communal Areas: The huge communal kitchen is spotless and well-equipped. They also have a movie cinema room, a gym, and a jacuzzi, which is unheard of at this price point. • Security: Key-card access to rooms and floors made me feel secure. The only small drawback is that they charge a fee for luggage storage if you arrive early or check out late, which many hostels offer for free.

Overall, it's okay. The room is large, and the bed is very big and comfortable. The service is also good and very polite. There are two drawbacks. The first is the parking lot. It's super narrow, and it's easy to scrape the walls. There are many "stories" on the walls, so drivers should be careful. Also, there's no elevator in the parking lot. Remember to drop off your luggage at the hotel entrance before heading down to the parking lot. I was reminded by a Klook review, so thank you. The second problem is that this is truly a historic hotel, almost 30 years old. Although it has been renovated, the equipment and layout are from an older era. You can feel it, but it is clean, so don't worry.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the service attitude is also very good. The first time, they gave us a room on the third floor, but the lighting was really not good. After mentioning it to the front desk staff, we moved to the seventh floor, which had better lighting. However, the hotel as a whole still has a bit of a damp smell. In addition, next door, seemingly two buildings away, is a nightclub or bar, and the 'thump thump' sound is very noticeable in the middle of the night. If you are highly sensitive or a light sleeper, you may be affected. But overall, it usually becomes quiet after about 2-3 am. Those who are sensitive to noise will really find it quite painful.
