We booked a package with JVTO via Klook for our 3D2N adventure trip. Shoutout to Fredy and Fauzi for always accommodating to us; from entertaining our nonsense/requests and also for always making us break into laughter with their fresh set of jokes. transport options: Our driver Dosi was very friendly and made our transfer to each location very smooth. itinerary: Prepare for irregular sleeping hours as we needed to wake up at 12am to drive to the location for sunrise. But it was worth it. tour guide: Each attraction had its guide. Shout out to our waterfall guide, Edi. He went above and beyond by constantly helping us take instagrammable photos and videos even though we didn't ask. At the end of the attraction, he even helped us to compile it into a ready to post video and sent us all 100+ photos and videos. attractions: Not for the faint of heart. There were steep hikes involved and was more adventurous than we had expected. Definitely watch some YouTube vlogs to get a sense of the fitness level required. accomodation options: Fluctuating quality. One of them was amazing as it was a business hotel. The other 2 had a good outside view of nature but also had bugs (which probably can't be helped since it's near nature)

Our three-day, two-night East Java volcano tour truly exceeded our family's expectations! We learned after booking that the Ijen crater was closed. The travel agency not only promptly informed us but also actively helped us adjust our itinerary, even adding the Madakaripura Waterfall, which turned out to be the most surprising and memorable part of our trip. The three-day, two-night private tour was absolutely worth it! We had a dedicated guide and driver with us the entire time. Our guide, Jiaxin, is a native Indonesian but speaks fluent Chinese, so communication was seamless. Along the way, he shared many stories about the volcanoes, culture, and local life, and he also took excellent care of our family of four. During the trip, my husband, who suffers from severe sleep apnea, had a very strong reaction to the high altitude. Jiaxin meticulously looked after him, especially during the climb up Mount Ijen, where he accompanied and supported him almost the entire way. This allowed me to focus on caring for our two children without having to juggle responsibilities between family members. His attentiveness and sense of responsibility truly touched us. (And we even saw the beautiful artificial blue fire at the volcano!) Throughout the journey, Jiaxin also adjusted the pace according to our family's condition, arranging timely breaks, helping us take photos, and recommending local delicacies, making the entire trip very relaxed and comfortable. At Mount Bromo, when we were delayed and missed breakfast, he quietly arranged for the hotel to save meal boxes for us, so we had food waiting as soon as we returned to the hotel – truly thoughtful. I must also commend our driver, Agus Botak. Every day involved long drives of over four hours, often on winding mountain roads in East Java, and sometimes even starting in the early morning. Yet, he was always energetic and drove smoothly, allowing us to rest comfortably in the car. For families traveling with children, a safe and reliable driver is incredibly important. What touched us most was that they didn't treat this job as a routine task; they genuinely cared for every traveler. These three days brought us not only beautiful scenery but also heartwarming human connection. This was the best travel experience I've had in Southeast Asia to date, which is why I'm writing this review so earnestly, hoping it can serve as a reference for others. From the travel agency's arrangements and the guide's professionalism to the driver's attentiveness, they left me with a wonderful impression of Indonesia. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I also want to add that the cost of this private tour includes one meal, local guides for Madakaripura Waterfall and Ijen Volcano, all entrance fees, and necessary equipment, so there's no need to worry about additional expenses – it's truly worth it! ❤️

This volcano and waterfall tour was absolutely worth it. Thank you, Dasi and Nandu, for giving us such pleasant memories. I strongly advise everyone to visit the waterfall, and it's crucial to hire a guide – it's a matter of life and death, so definitely get one!

ब्रोमो, इजेन ब्लू फ्लेम और तुम्पाक सेवु झरने की हमारी 4 दिन 3 रात की यात्रा बिल्कुल शानदार थी! ठहरने की व्यवस्था बहुत अच्छी और आरामदायक थी, जिससे हमें हर शारीरिक रूप से थका देने वाले दिन के बाद अच्छी तरह से आराम करने का मौका मिला। हम विशेष रूप से अपने गाइड अनाम और अपने ड्राइवर को धन्यवाद देना चाहते हैं। ड्राइवर ने इतनी सहजता से गाड़ी चलाई कि हम लंबी यात्राओं के दौरान आराम से सो सके। हमारे गाइड अनाम अविश्वसनीय रूप से पेशेवर और समर्पित थे; उन्होंने हमें रास्ते में स्थानीय जावानीस संस्कृति और इतिहास से गहराई से परिचित कराया, जिससे हमें उन स्थानों की कहीं अधिक समृद्ध समझ मिली जहाँ हम गए थे। चाहे हमें इजेन ब्लू फ्लेम देखने के लिए आधी रात की चढ़ाई के दौरान मार्गदर्शन करना हो या झरने की खोज करना हो, अनाम ने हमेशा हमारी सुरक्षा को प्राथमिकता दी। इसके अलावा, वह एक अद्भुत फोटोग्राफर हैं! उन्होंने हमें इतनी सारी शानदार तस्वीरें लेने में मदद की, जिससे अविस्मरणीय यादें बन गईं। इस टीम की अत्यधिक अनुशंसा करते हैं, 5-स्टार अनुभव!

हमारे गाइड यांतो, साथ ही हमारे ड्राइवर हेंद्रा और देवा शानदार थे!! वे बहुत अच्छी अंग्रेजी बोलते थे और बहुत उत्साही थे, शायद इसी वजह से अनुभव अद्भुत रहा। यांतो इजें पर चढ़ने में हमारी मदद करने में बहुत सक्रिय थे, उन्होंने हमें कुछ कठिन इलाकों से पार पाने में मदद की और यहां तक कि जब उनके पास खुद गैस मास्क नहीं था, तब भी उन्होंने हमारे लिए नीली आग ढूंढ निकाली, और उन्होंने अपने पैसों से हमारे लिए तले हुए केले और ताहु इसी खरीदे! ड्राइवर भी शानदार थे, उन्होंने सुरक्षित गाड़ी चलाई, जब हमें शौचालय/दोपहर के भोजन के लिए रुकने की ज़रूरत पड़ी तो वे रुके, और कार में बिल्कुल भी धूम्रपान नहीं किया गया जो मेरे लिए एक बहुत बड़ा प्लस था। कुल मिलाकर शानदार अनुभव रहा और हम स्थानीय लोगों का इससे ज़्यादा धन्यवाद नहीं कर सकते।

The driver will pick you up at your hotel in a five-seater sedan. In mid-April, the temperature at Ijen Volcano in the early morning is around 15 degrees Celsius (59 degrees Fahrenheit). You can wear a short-sleeved shirt and a light, warm jacket. The mountain road is steep, and you'll likely sweat a lot during the climb. You can take breaks in stages, depending on your stamina. From the entrance at 1,800 meters (5,905 feet) above sea level, you'll ascend to the summit at 2,300 meters (7,546 feet). There may be an occasional pungent sulfur smell; you can choose whether to rent a gas mask before departing. The sunrise and sea of clouds are incredibly beautiful. However, since the sulfur minerals are owned by an energy company, and workers are employed to mine and extinguish fires, you won't be able to see large areas of blue flame. Nevertheless, the burning sulfur is an unprecedented and stunning sight. We recommend arranging this trip separately from Mount Bromo, allowing for rest before continuing. A two-day/one-night or three-day/two-night trip involves a significant physical load.
