Taipei - Tainan Bus Ticket (by Ubus)

It was way cheaper than THSR. If you are not in a hurry and will travel by night, you can pick this one up instead since you can definitely sleep. The seats were very comfortable to sit on. The claiming process was also breezy since the UBus staff can speak English. Try to arrive early if you are targetting to board a bus on a specific schedule.

I purchased a ticket from Tainan to Taipei. I went to the Tainan Bus Terminal, presented my voucher at the bus company's counter, and was immediately able to board the next departing bus. The journey took four and a half hours, but the spacious seats were more comfortable than the Shinkansen, and I arrived in Taipei comfortably.

Convenient, discounted, and fast, plus you don't have to fumble for your wallet. The only downside is that there are too few discounts. It would be better if there were more discounts. Also, it's a shame that you can't buy direct airport tickets on Klook!

Taipei Bus Terminal is a highway bus transfer station located in Datong District, Taipei City, Taiwan. It is the terminus of Taipei Main Station's highway bus routes[1]. It is a large-scale complex that combines a highway bus station, a shopping center, a hotel, and a collective residence. It is also the first highway bus station in Taiwan that was planned by the government and jointly operated by operators.

Tainan travel is really fun! Taking a Klook package to Tainan can save you a little money, although taking the bus is really long. Next time I might take the high-speed rail instead 😅

Taking the night bus is convenient and saves time. Buying tickets through Klook in advance offers discounts and is cheaper, plus you can use your credit card. Be sure to check in at the counter to reserve your seat before boarding.

I didn't expect to get a $19 discount using Klook, that's amazing! It saved me a lot compared to train or high-speed rail tickets, so I can go home more often!

We scanned the QR code to buy tickets directly on-site and waited a very short time for the bus. There's no need to plan your itinerary too rigidly; you can hop on whenever you like without rushing to catch a specific bus.
