River Khwae Bridge tours

Our family purchased a join-in tour package, and after placing the order, we contacted the travel agency to add on the jeep ride and giraffe photo experience. The website provided clear information, so we understood the booking process, and the meeting point on the day of the tour was easy to find as per the website's instructions. The itinerary included the Bridge on the River Kwai, a ride on the Death Railway, and the safari park, all of which were excellent. It would have been even better if we could have spent more time at the safari park. In addition to the jeep ride and giraffe photo opportunity, the original ticket included a bus ride to feed deer, giraffes, and other animals. There was also an option to pay extra for a photo with a crocodile. Both adults and children had a wonderful time!

I knew exactly what it was we were going to see, my family did not so there are two perspectives captured here. I had already wanted to visit the Bridge over the River Kwai since I was in my teens by virtue of the film. It is very difficult to get to without a suggestion of staying over however time is short and it’s not the kind of place (in my opinion to do that). Getting there and back is the hard bit but Angie (our guide) and Mr Kim (our driver) made it all go very smoothly and Angie looked after our mixed group very well always making sure everyone was where they needed to be at the correct time. The itinerary was moved about to provide the best experience and we found our visit to the River Kwai Bridge was almost earliest as we made it before the mass of tourists. We then seen the war cemetery and Dearh Railway Museum (excellent and unfit for my family), followed by a train journey across the river Kwai and onward. A nice lunch with great views was then followed by Hellfire pass.

This is a worthwhile experience if you want to take a day trip outside of Bangkok. Our tour guide, Cindy, was very enthusiastic and provided clear instructions. The natural scenery was incredibly beautiful, and we had some once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. Traveling individually from Bangkok to Erawan Falls in Kanchanaburi seemed like too much hassle, so I opted for a Klook day tour and was very satisfied! Above all, Erawan Falls was truly wonderful. Due to time constraints, we only went up to Level 5, but we thoroughly enjoyed swimming and playing in the waterfalls at Levels 2 and 3. I brought aqua shoes, and they were incredibly convenient for both hiking and water activities, so I highly recommend them. The weather was initially beautiful, and I thought we were lucky, but then it suddenly poured rain as we were leaving, giving us the full experience of Erawan during the rainy season. Still, I was very relieved that the weather was good while we were swimming. It was much more comfortable to store our belongings at the bottom of the falls and only take essentials up with us. My husband, who loves swimming, really made the most of it! 😂 Jackie Chan is the best!!! However, if you want to slowly explore Erawan Falls up to Level 7 and fully enjoy swimming, the tour schedule might feel a bit rushed. If we go again, we'd like to take public transportation and spend a full, leisurely day at Erawan Falls. I recommend the Klook day tour for those visiting Kanchanaburi from Bangkok for the first time or for anyone who finds arranging transportation separately inconvenient. Especially if you plan to swim at Erawan Falls, be sure to bring your swimsuit and aqua shoes!

Super highly recommended! Our tour guide Katie was so accommodating and patient in helping us navigating our stops. She was so nice in answering our questions. We booked a private tour and it was so worth it because we had the entire car to ourselves and they were ok with picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel. The itinerary was so thoughtful too, we learned a lot about Thai history and culture and being able to wrap it all up with an afternoon tea session was the cherry on top. 💕

The guide was super kind and told us a lot of information. It was really interesting. The lunch was also a lot of food and really tasty! Thank you so much for this day☺️

one of my most unforgettable experience. our tour guide was English Speaking, and joked a lot. made us really comfortable, the whole trip was a bit fast. every destination we needed to move fast. but its totally fine. we really enjoyed every destination

I was very satisfied with this day trip, even though it rained when we went to take the Death Railway train, it didn't dampen my spirits. I was especially pleased with our driver and guide, Kevin. His driving skills were excellent, and he thoughtfully arranged our itinerary, even taking many beautiful photos for us. I will definitely book Klook day trips again in the future.
